Amazon.com Product Description The Plantronics MX150 noise-canceling mobile headset combines the company's proprietary Flex Grip design with advanced microphone technology to deliver a discreet, stable, and high-quality headset. The MX150 is compatible with most headset-ready mobile devices, including models made by Motorola, Samsung, LG, and Kyocera. The headset's bendable noise-canceling boom mic is designed to provide an optimal fit and high clarity just about anywhere, and the headset's Flex Grip design permits one-handed placement in your ear. simply wonderful July 21, 2008 I needed to replace my previous MX150 after I dropped it in the water :( the replacement was just as good as my original, excellent sound and good fit in either ear.
Why spend $30 when this works just as well. July 11, 2008 This works just as well as the last one I had bought for $30 at Best Buy. Clear sound for both ends of the conversation & easy to put on .
Great Product Thus far. June 19, 2008 Surprisingly comfy from the shape of the ear piece. It goes around your ear a funky way, but it is very wearable! PLUS it doesn't bother my ear since I have glasses. I like Plantronics
Good sound quality and comfort, durability is questionable June 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this headset in August 2007 and have used them fairly frequently, but they just died on me this month (June 2008; 10 months later). The sounds quality was great, comfort was generally fine, although personally I wasn't a fan of the part that goes around your ear lobe (it would hurt me after a while), but it's necessary for them to stay in well. Now when I put them in, the phone knows a headset is in, but the sound doesn't work. If I align it at a certain angle and then push down on the curved wire near the base, I can get some sound to permeate, but it's temporary. Looking at these recommendations, I see the long-lasting nature of this item is questionable. However, for under $10, 10 months of a functioning headset isn't bad. If these had cost me $45, I would have been angry. Note that this is not a Plantronics headset despite the title (at least from the vendor that I chose). You can tell because there are no markings or packaging. I have since bought the MX256-X1, which clearly IS made by Plantronics. We'll see how they compare. Overall, this a decent headset with great quality, comfort is generally okay, and durability is questionable at best.
If sound quality matters, skip this product May 27, 2008 I've tried every kind of earpiece for my Samsung phone, and so far, have not found one that has the sound quality I'm looking for. The Plantronics was another disappointment. I ordered it because of the numerous recommendations on this site, but the sound quality was inadequate. It is comfortable, lightweight, and the microphone does a good job of picking up the user's voice, but the person on the other end sounds like they are speaking through a pillow. I know it wasn't a defective unit, because I ordered three (two for backup), and tried them all. As a side note, the earpiece that came with the phone, the earbud type (similar to ipod headphones), has excellent (stereo) sound quality, a great microphone, and is very comfortable. The only issue I have with that setup is that there are two, long wires that dangle from my ears, and that the microphone is on the cord and not a boom, which gets caught on my shirt or jacket collar. I'm sticking to it anyway.
