An accessory handset for Uniden's TRU9 series, TRU8 series, CLX series, Elite series, and the UIP18 series phone systems, the TCX905 offers the same excellent range of functions you appreciate in the base. Once the handset is recognized by the system, you can review features like Call Waiting Caller ID, which includes a 100-station memory (with subscription to local service) that allows names and numbers to be transferred between handsets or moved into the permanent 10-station speed dial. DirectLink two-way radio communication is built into each handset, allowing them to function as an in-home intercom system or baby monitor. You can transfer incoming calls between each handset and speakerphone on the base, and make use of the convenient hands-free design by using the included belt clip and built-in headset jack (headsets available separately). Easily adjust handset and ringer volume levels to your comfort, and set the handset LCD menu to one of three menu languages (English, French, or Spanish). A page button lets you quickly locate the handset if it's strayed under the couch cushions. Redial any of the last three called numbers at the touch of a button, activate three-way calls or just enjoy the consistent clarity of the 5.8 GHz digital signal transmission. I bought 2 additional handsets. They were shipped promptly and received in good shape a few days later. They were easy to add to the system, even being easier to register to the base than the original ones I had bought several years ago. Great product for me.

the single cordless extension that came with this original base was not giving enough talk time so I bought this one. I have not had low battery sign on both my extensions so I guess it solved my problem. Registering it was simple and quick. Just like my other unit this one does not pick up the name from address book when an incoming call comes, hence 4 *s.
Works Great With My Uniden System June 4, 2008
I purchased these handsets to expand my Uniden home cordless phone network. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to network the system but all is well. I've been using the original phones for 3 years and the TCX905 for over a year trouble-free.
I have a teenage son who is constantly getting calls so it's great to be able to page him without having to yell into the basement or upstairs....
