Product Description The KX-TG9334T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping. Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID2 information is announced between rings. The KX-TG9334T also boast a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that politely tells you when your battery is low with a Please Charge Phone reminder. Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls. After the information is stored, your unwanted callers will receive a busy signal when they call you again. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. Excellent in all respects July 23, 2008 We are very pleased with all aspects of this purchase. First, the usual very prompt order acknowledgement and shipping from Amazon. Also, Amazon's price was competitive with Walmart and Best Buy. The setup process was simple and quick using the instruction booklet provided. All components reflect Panasonic's high quality standards; durability and functionality. We have cancelled "caller ID" & "voicemail" from our local phone provider, thus eliminating those monthly charges. The speakerphone feature is wonderful for conversations with family members. Finally, the improved sound clarity has beem remarked upon by those who call us. Excellent value, all around!!!
Good phones July 20, 2008 I really like these phones. I purchased them to replace old phones that were hard to hear on and had crackling noises. They are nice looking and easy to use. These phones are clear and extend to quite a range. I can walk outside and around the corner to my mailbox and have no problems. My only issue is with caller ID. When someone beeps in, I cannot see who is calling.
Good but not great July 17, 2008 One thing you'll notice quickly is there is no MUTE button. There is a mute function, but it's connected to one of the unlabeled buttons just below the display. The mute label appears on the display, but unless you make a habit of looking at your display while talking you'll never find the mute button - a minor deficiency. The answering machine function, like most others, doesn't include a date. If you're away from home for more than a week, you'll never know which Monday the caller left the message. Other than those two items, the operation is intuitive and the phones operate noise free in the range in which I use them (up to 200 feet away from the base). Hopefully the answering machine function will last longer than that on my previous AT&T system (1 year). I have no idea what the DECT stands for - the sound quality is good.
VERY GOOD Phone system July 17, 2008 I recently had to purchase a new cordless phone system, as I lost 2 handsets from my prior UNIDEN system when I moved. After my own research, I chose this Panasonic system
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product. Some of the excellent features are:
1. Night Mode: Allows you to select a time frame when the phone will NOT ring without having to manually shut off the ringer each time. Great feature, since one of the phones is near my child's bedroom. (NOT AVAIL ON MY PRIOR UNIDEN)
2. Voicemail Alert (from VoIP service). I do NOT use this phone as an answering machine. I have Optimum Voice & use their voicemail feature. Normally (as on my prior UNIDEN), to see if I have voice mail, I would have to pick up the phone & listen for a special dial tone. With this Panasonic, It senses the signal from Optimum Voice & visually alerts me to a new message by showing "new VM message" on EACH handset. It also allowed me to store the VM access #, & prompts me to call it every time there is a new message. THIS IS A GREAT FEATURE, if you use VoIP voice mail service
3. Shared Phonebook: ALL the handsets share a single phonebook. I find this extremely helpful. The prior UNIDEN had a separate phonebook for each handset, & even though you could copy it to another handset, you would have to do so after any change was made
4. Clarity: I have none of the problems other reviewers have mentioned. This sound is clear & is without interference.
5. Talking Caller ID: Great feature. I also am NOT experiencing another problem mentioned about delay is displaying or announcing the caller ID. Maybe this has to do with the service provider. ALSO, if you have a number in the phonebook, & receive a call from that number, it announces your phonebook entry name. (ie. will announce "Call from DAD, or Grandpa"), as opposed to the name on their phone bill.
There are some minor issues that could be improved, & therefore the 4 star review:
1. Phone design: MY prior UNIDEN had a huge TALK button smack in the top center. This phone has a small, odd placed talk button. Took some getting used to, but a large obvious button is always better.
2. Handset naming: Prior UNIDEN allowed you to name each handset (ie. den, bedroom). This Panasonic only numbers them 1-4. I don't think this is a major problem, as one reviewer mentioned. It is not too difficult to remember which handset is where, but naming them is obviously better.
Overall, an excellent phone with great features at an amazing price!

My Panasonic telephone has many features some of which took me awhile to get used to, but the learning curve was worth it, for I am very pleased with the phone.
