Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars 18 miles   October 3, 2008
When I search for a product to be used in my farm and I saw 18 miles range I bought it, but unfortunately didn't work as expected at the low end of 1 mile but with a decline of 300 ft.
Disappointed

4 out of 5 stars Good Product   August 30, 2008
Have not had a single problem with this as of yet. Do wish that the weather channel function worked a little bit better in my area, but that's because I'm out in nowhere's ville. Also wish that there was a smart recharge function with these devices, as they need to be taken off charger after 18 hours... But overall good product.

2 out of 5 stars Not Durable   July 31, 2008
I purchased six of these radios for use by my staff. The rubber seal suurrounding the front window pulls out easily. Buttons aren't shielded from accidental pushing. Battery charge is poor (less than four hours).

4 out of 5 stars Nice to have the batteries included   June 16, 2008
The radio is capable of being charged via the mini-usb. Very important to me, because I charge them in the car with a cigarette lighter to USB adapter.
Love it besides the fact that according to the manual you can't charge it while using it. Hope I'm not doing any damage while doing so.
The VOX function works great. My kids need it because it's hard for them to use the PTT button.
