 Dead out of the box September 26, 2008
Purchased from elsewhere (Dell) but when it arrived it would not start.... not good.
Died June 11, 2008
After a short power surge, the unit died. Luckliy, my computer survived. No more Belkin for me.
Blew out my PC power supply during deep cycle test. September 2, 2007
This UPS (F6C900-UNV) worked fine for 2 yrs, then during a deep cycle test it actually blew out my PC power supply. I heard a loud pop from the other room, while the deep cycle test was running. (Two tests are included in the Belkin Bulldog software, a 10-second test, and a deep cycle test.) If anything gets my goat, it's a product that actually causes the damage it was intended to prevent!
I've already replaced the PC power supply. Way too much trouble to file a claim. I'll never buy Belkin again.

I bought several of these Belkin 900VA UPS and had the same experience with all of them. For the first 6 - 8 months, the battery provides a pretty good amount of backup time before it dies (when the outside power fails). After 6 - 8 months, my battery has such little capacity left that it can run my one computer for less than 30 seconds before it dies. For a 900VA UPS, this number should be 15 minutes. Since I have three Belkin UPS units and they all degraded about the same rate, I am very disappointed. I won't buy any more UPS from Belkin. I also have an APC UPS, it degrades too over time too but its battery seems to last about 18 - 20 months.

I've been using Belkin's Enterprise UPSes for years; this one by far out performs under stress than any other (I have also owned APS and CyberPower, both brands died after a year of power abuse). This is one of the easiest to maintain and change batteries in. This is my 2nd purchase of this model.
We are at the end of the power grid, so we get frequent brownouts and power surge/outages DAILY; having a line regulator is crucial for sensitive PCs.
The lack of 1 star is that I wish it had a bit more room for plugs that are over-sized or had pivoting outlets for bulky transformers located right at the plug.
