Great Deal June 29, 2008 This XM boom box does what it says and at a great price. Everything hooked up easily, and I started using it within five minutes of opening the box. AC/DC is nice, lots of antenna wire if needed, volume is decent and use the bass/treple controls on the Roady to adjust the tones. Kinda an odd shape, but sleek in a way, not even boxy at all, actually kinda like the shape the more I look at it. For the Roady XT use the included adapter, slides in easy but you gotta grip the bottom of it and pull up to slip it off. Not a big deal... your remote (not included) still works with this.
Great product at a great price! June 26, 2008 Works great! Am excited when Sirius and XM merge so I can listen to Howard Stern!
A risky buy June 15, 2008 I bought it. It arrived. I opened the box and tested the radio -- all was fine. I discarded the box and put away the radio until the weekend. On the weekend I got it out -- did not work. Maybe the garbage collector can fix it.
Goofy design June 15, 2008 Delphi needs to check their designers for drug use. This is one of the dumbest designs I've ever seen...ugly and clumsy to operate. At least it is plays and was not expensive...otherwise I would really be PO'd. Radios don't need to look like alien robot transformers. Give up the attempt at styling and just make functional rectangular boxes with cords that are easy to access and manage. In carrying this thing around, expect to fumble with the oddly shaped boombox itself, along with the trying to hang on to the huge plug/transformer cord (no onboard storage) and trip over the antenna cord (which has onboard storage but you'll give up on trying to use it). Quality is not that great either. I have to pry the radio holder every time to release the receiver. Sheesh!
delphi boom box June 13, 2008 This is my second unit. Purchased for my office. Great sound. Easy to use. If using with batteries, always remove after use. For some reason the batteries drain if left in unit over time. I've placed batteries in both of my units to be prepared to use out of doors. When I go to use a month ot two later, the batteries are dead. I do understand you are not to leave batteries in devices over extended periods because of possible corrisive leakage, but they should not drain dead.
