Using the included recording software, no special drivers are needed to connect PT-01USB to any Mac or PC via USB and transfer music from vinyl to hard disk. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 (PC) and EZ Audio Converter (Mac) software are included to make recording and importing audio simple. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 imports your songs directly into your iTunes library, automatically separating tracks, and free, downloadable upgrade includes Gracenote MusicID, which can even automatically name your tracks. PT-01USB also comes with Audacity software for editing your tracks. Audacity also helps reduce clicks, pops, and other noises from your recordings to restore the full quality of your vinyl.
PT-01USB has an RCA line input so you can connect other sound sources such as tape decks and convert them to digital files too! RCA line outputs enable connection to your DJ system or home stereo so you can use PT-01USB as a standard record-player. In addition to the internal speaker and RCA outputs, you can also listen with headphones.
With 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds, PT-01USB works with your entire record collection. There's even a 10% pitch control to help you optimize your tracks for whatever need you have.

tin can with a needleSeptember 30, 2008 if your looking at this to buy to play on your house stereo you will probably be disappointed this is a portable player and should be used as such. it has a very tinny sound no depth at all do not be cheap when it comes to purchasing a record player
Great little turntable!September 2, 2008 Now since last year I have been looking for a turntable to use for my lp collection and I have found just what I was looking for. This turntable works great and connects easily with any speaker system that you may have.
Love the Numark PT01 Portable DJ TurntableAugust 7, 2008 This turntable works great! You really need to plug into speakers as the built-in speaker is very quiet. We hooked it up to some M-Audio Studiophle AV 40 powered speakers and it sounds fantastic (you can also plug your ipod into these speakers). I have been listening to my old records like crazy. Warning, it will make you want to buy new vinyl too! It is plastic, lightweight, and easy to use, but maybe not as heavy and solid as some folks would want. It is great for trying out vinyl in the store, very portable with batteries, but certainly heavier. I do not know yet how long 6 batteries last. It's fun.
Portable DJ turntable: Great tool for Digging at a good priceAugust 4, 2008 After looking for a Portable turntable for my record "digging" excursions, found this piece of equipment which seems to be pretty small, but actually it has a lot of power. It has everything a record digger DJ needs: battery powered, fits in a Dj record bag, it has "ins" for headphone jacks and "outs" for mixer or amp, and it has a build in speaker. What i'm a bit worry about is about getting the spare stylus. I looked around Venezuelan Market and have not find it yet and probably I won't; so it might not be that easy to get the spare. In general, it's a good portable turntable (I even played house music on it in a small party with some friends) for a reasonable price. Just make sure you buy few spare stylus, just in case...
