Product Description Using the power of heat, brushes, and cleaning formula, this upright home cleaning system removes deep-down dirt for a maximum clean. The unit's built-in heater heats hot tap water up to 25 degrees hotter for maximum results, plus it offers a no-heat option for cleaning delicate wool or oriental rugs. Choose between light clean, normal, heavy traffic, and rinse settings; the cleaner will adjust the right amount of cleaning solution to mix with the heated water. Its two DirtLifter PowerBrush rolls feature a bristle pattern that safely lifts out dirt while gently grooming carpet fibers. Tackle especially tough stains with the push of a button thanks to the CleanShot feature. It sprays a concentrated stream of cleaning solution, penetrating the stain and allowing for better cleaning focus. Simply spray and suction and the stain disappears. Even more, the unit's Dry Aire system spreads hot air across the carpet to help dry it. Other details include floating suspension that self-adjusts to all carpet heights, a two-in-one water tank that keeps clean and dirty water separate, floor cleaning or above-floor cleaning with the turn of a knob, and deep-cleaning formulas with Scotchgard protector. Tools include a 3-inch tough-stain tool, a 4-inch upholstery tool, a spraying crevice tool, a 6-inch stair tool, a TurboBrush, a bare-floor tool, and a mesh bag. Also included: a 16-ounce container of Fiber Cleansing Formula, a 16-ounce container of Tough Stain Formula, and an 8-ounce container of Hard Floor Solutions. Great for carpet, upholstery, stairs, bare floors, and car interiors, the deep cleaner measures 19 by 13 by 44 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner July 20, 2008 Excellent product. Cleans beautifully. Easily loaded and emptied. Cleans with minimal exertion.
Fabulous Machine July 10, 2008 I bought this machine after I had tried a friend's Hoover steam cleaner and needed something to clean my carpets. I have two dogs 1 of whom finds mud and loves to lay in it; therefore, I needed something that would deep clean and remove ground in dirt. In comparison between the Hoover and the Bissell, I found that the Bissell works significantly better. It is easy to assemble and much simpler to fill than the Hoover. The separate water and soap tank makes a huge difference and cuts the time in when having to prepare the cleaner for use. My only complaint is that the soap and water dispenser will usually need to be refilled after completing a small to average sized room. Still, the effort isn't nearly as much as when I used the Hoover. I am very happy with this product. I would highly recommend it to someone else. Nonetheless, I would recommend cleaning it after every use to maintain a quality product.
Does the job better then I expected July 8, 2008 Just over a year ago I spent a considerable amount of money for a Hoover. It did a fair job, but leaked like a sieve!
After taking the Hoover to a repair facility, I was informed that the repair would be in excess of 100.00. I did not have it repaired. Hoover was no help.
Today, I purchased the Bissell 9500 Proheat 2X CleanShot.
I should state also that 13 years ago we replaced our carpets with a very high quality beige carpet. Recently, despite the use of the "other" machine, it was looking like we to replace it.
One advantage this machine has, is that the weight of the water in the reservoir helps weigh the head down where the beater bars maintain good contact with the carpet.
Several months ago, our puppy knocked over a Wendy's chocolate milkshake off the end table onto the carpet. It was several hours before I found it and it stained the carpet badly. The "other" machine did not remove the stain. This machine took it all up with no hint as to where the spill occurred.
The only real draw back of this machine is the need to dump the dirty water and refill the reservoir more often then it's competition.
That said, I was amazed how good a job this machine did. Despite the small water reservoir, I still give this machine 5 stars. And......It does not LEAK!
1st time Carpet Cleaner review July 7, 2008 This product really did a great job for us and we are glad we purchased it. I was skeptical that it could really clean the carpets back to new and it did just about that-98%. 2 deep stains reappeared but much fainter about a week after the cleaning. I suppose I will try them again and see what happens.
Note: if you have pets that shed, cleaning can sometimes be hampered by the sheer amount of hair that gets caught up in the water return area. On your 1st time thru, you should make sure the water is being sucked back up into the return tank and not blocked by hair. Then the cleaning really kicks in. All in all, this is an impressive machine. The other reviews are dead on.
MR July 3, 2008 Cleaner a little heavy, but did an excellent job. I would highly recomend this steamer to everyone.
