Amazon.com Product Description Enjoy a whole new level of LP independence with the Crosley CR49 Traveler. Inspired by the original portable turntables of the late 1950s, the belt-drive unit is versatile enough to play all three common speeds--33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm--so you're not restricted to any one part of your vintage record collection. In addition, the table's tan-colored suitcase housing includes a pair of built-in, full-range stereo speakers, in effect turning the Traveler into a LP boombox (though without the battery power). The effortless portability makes this a great turntable for traveling, visiting friends, or simply enjoying albums in the garage, basement, or other secondary rooms. The case is stylish, too, with a vintage appearance that beautifully complements traditional furnishings. The Traveler even comes with an adjustable tone control, adding to its versatility, along with a diamond-stylus needle. So whether your tastes run to classic jazz or modern rock, savor your vinyl in style with the Crosley Traveler. The Traveler measures 17 by 7 by 11 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a 90-day warranty. What's in the Box Turntable, diamond-stylus needle, 45 rpm spindle adapter, user's manual.

Really cool portable stereo record player. I'v never been a big stereo system guy and I live in a relatively small apartment, so this is perfect for me. Jazz, blues, and punk rock records sound great on this. Much warmer than digital format. Vinyl baby! luv it.
It has a great sound for the price May 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really enjoy the record player all in noe case easy to move and the needle is safe with the lid. the sound is a lot better then I expected for the price.
Good for the price May 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This record player spins well-make sure to click the tone arm to start the spinning again! (Or you might think the machine is broken) I thought the volume control and tone control were decent. Not a record player for an audio fan, but I have really enjoyed it so far.
Does the Job, Fairly Nice Machine April 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a decent, good looking machine for the money. Not fabulous, but serviceable and decent looking.
The arm and the table area (inside the cover) are kind of plastic-y, but it plays well and we have had no problems with it. I like the fact that it has a floating turntable. Also on the plus side, it plays records well at all three speeds, and I like the fact that Crosley has replacement needles so I don't have to go hunting for them. As another reviewer commented, I wish the power adapter stored in the case. (Or, I wish at least it hand a standard cord instead of a chunky plug-in adapter.)
Good vintage look, and it sounds pretty good.
This thing is amazing! March 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a great little record player! Came quickly, no dings, works great. The Tan is really nice, although I realize now that I wish I had got the tweed....just that much more retro.
The sound is great! The tone nob lets you play with either getting that warm glow or the crisp snappy old timey sound. It's surprisingly loud too! Other reviews have ragged on this player because the quality and sound....IT'S A VINTAGE STYLE RECORD PLAYER..NOT A BOOTY BASS DJ TURNTABLE SET! COME ON!
First thing I did was put in some Django and light a fire....priceless!!! I plan to use it at our next croquet party.
