 We tried...and tried to get it to slide! September 3, 2008
But it just wouldn't move! We hung it halfway off the small dash of our 2003 Saturn L200. It stayed put. We drove up a 7-mile long, winding, twisting, rocky mountain road (to Valley View Casino in Encinitas/San Diego) and it still didn't move. We use it with a Garmin Nuvi 250W and it is as close to perfect as a product could be. These 5 stars are well deserved. (Wish we could give it more.)
 Could have been great...doesn't fit TomTom! September 3, 2008
Well, the Nav-Mat could have been the answer I was looking for to get my TomTom 920 off the windshield BUT, the suction mount that TomTom comes with is too short to use with the Nav-Mat! With the suction attached to the Nav-Mat, the bottom of the TomTom hits the weights on the base of the Nav-Mat, and will not allow the TomTom to sit vertically, so you can't point the display towards you.
In fact, the TomTom suction cup is higher than the base of the TomTom when you try to mount it to a flat surface like a dash board! The ONLY way to mount the TomTom to a flat surface like a dashboard is to have it hang over the edge! Somewhat poor design on TomTom's part--not the fault of the Nav-Mat!

I wasn't sure if the nav-mat would work with my Navigon mounting bracket, because it would extend the unit out in front of the the mat-but I took a chance and it works great, it is very well balanced, and it doesn't move a bit.
Because of the slope of the dash and windshield of my Accord I wanted something that the bracket would attach to securely to keep the gps unit safe, as well as keep it from blocking my eyesight line while driving.
I highly recommend this product :)
Non-skid Pad August 31, 2008

I searched for a good dash pad for a few days for my Garmin Nuvi. I couldn't find one I thought would work well in my Toyota Tundra, which has a very sloped dash. I saw this one on Amazon and and a few other sites, & liked it, but I kept checking elsewhere. Finally, I decided on the UFM-100BL, and I'm glad I bought it here (price & shipping). It works very well, and is heavier than I thought, and it stores in the glove box easily. It is definitely worth the money!

It works really good and does what it's supposed to do, but it is really big. Keep in mind the size when ordering: 1.9 x 8.6 x 9.3 inches.
