Le Creuset is famous for coating its heavy, cast-iron cookware with not just one, but two--count 'em, two--layers of enamel baked on at 1,450 degrees F, resulting in gloriously bright colors. This bright-red, heart-shaped casserole adds a note of whimsy to dishes, but its 2-quart capacity, handles, and heavy-duty construction make it practical as well. Both its interior and exterior are enameled--as are the bottoms of all Le Creuset pots and pans--to prevent scratching glass-topped stoves. I purchased this for my niece's wedding, and I have not given it to her yet. I have not seen the item myslef since I had it shipped to my mother's house, but I know from seeing them in the stores that it is a high quality product. Arrived in fine condition. Haven't used this particular piece yet, but love this manufacturer's products. Everyone should own at least one piece of Le Creuset. Wish they weren't so pricey though. Peace. ~~~mary
Lovely Little Pot.... February 27, 2008
Small, but makes a delightful presentation on your table. The heart says "Made With Love" and sure brings a smile to everyone's face.
I don't have to tell you how convenient it is to go from heat source to the table, and the clean-up, forget about it....so EASY!
A little pricey, but will give life long service.
But the real story here is Customer Service...the first pan had to be returned because enamel was missing on the lid. Amazon was AMAZING...they gave immediate attention to my complaint...had UPS pick it up the next day and a new one was sent in a couple of days...absolutely terrific service. Thanks so much AMAZON!!
Awesome Casserole February 25, 2008
This is an awesome casserole oven. It has the exceptional quality we've come to expect from Le Creuset, but with a lot of whimsy. The color and shape are pure fun, and it makes a fantastic wedding or anniversary gift!
