1 out of 5 stars Bleaches Fabric   March 10, 2008
This deodorant left ugly bleached out spots under the armpits of my new blue shirt. I tried everything to get out the stains, but the shirt is ruined. Beware of this product.

5 out of 5 stars Great product, no stains   January 26, 2008
I have used Secret's invisible gel deodorant for a year, if not two, and it provides adequate wetness prevention, great odor prevention, and I have never had problems with clothes being stained by it unless I got the wet gel directly on the clothes. I'm not in the habit of putting deodorant on clothes, so that hasn't been a problem for me. I'm not sure how others are getting the stains, but I use it the same way I have used other deodorants with far fewer discoloration problems than I ever had with either invisible solids (which really stained) or regular solids.

Stay away from this product!
I thought the scent was nice and tried it.
I have ruined two shirts and a dress.
(All colored garments and different fabric contents.) A light blue shirt ~turned the underarm areas a light pink~ :( A darker shade blue dress ~same thing, and a green rayon blend shirt~~a yellowish, pink "bleached out color effect in the under arm areas! No matter what I tried ~~soaking, vinegar, etc. NOTHING removed these bleaching of the true color, the garments were rendered USELESS!
I would not use again, nor ever recommend these products!!

1 out of 5 stars Bleached out my clothes, terrible product.   September 11, 2006

I tried to give this product -0 stars but it didn't let me. I ruined two sweater sets and a brand new tee-shirt using this product. It bleached out the coloring in the under arm area and the front of the shirts where it touched my skin as I was putting it on. I called P&G to complain and was given a set of washing instructions which she was obviously reading from a card. Today I received a coupon for free Secret! No mention of replacing the clothes that were ruined.

This product is perfect - it's a wonderful antiperspirant. I've used it every day since it showed up on store shelves. It has never discolored my clothes and I wear only dark-colored clothing. Perhaps the reviewers who got "bleached out" areas were using too much product. Turn the dial only once or twice - a small amount will work. I can find no fault with this clear gel - and I'm VERY particular about the products I use. I have no affiliation with P&G - I just love this gel!
Followup:
I emailed Procter & Gamble customer service about the so-called "bleached out" problems the others mentioned. Here is their response:
"There is an unusual stain that sometimes occurs with clear gel antiperspirants and fabrics dyed with pH-sensitive dyes. While the garment may appear bleached, the stain is actually easy to remove from washable fabrics by doing the following:
1. Thoroughly wet the stained area with water. Do NOT pretreat with stain remover or detergent.
2. Wash the garment with liquid Tide, using the warmest water recommended by the garment care label.
3. It may be necessary to repeat this process a few times to completely remove the stain."
