Nerdy, but practical June 13, 2008 I bought these for my husband, who works at an outlet store where he needs to lift large TVs and other products into people's cars. The eyeglass case in his pocket kept getting crushed. Chains were not an option, as the glasses would swing out when bending over, and again be in danger of getting crushed. These turned out to be just the thing.
These glasses, when not it use, stay out of the way. They rest snuggly around the neck and snap together easily when needed. My husband has a large head, so the frames look a little small on his face, but fit fine once he pulled out the extensions. He loves the funky blue. Another convenience is that they come in strengths from 1.25 to 3.0, making them functional for most people.
I have tried them and found them a little uncomfortable. They're not as practical for women with longer hair, as the hair gets in the way of the glasses resting over the ear. Also, the frames look a little large for my smaller face. I guess you need to expect that when you have a unisex product.
Overall, these have turned out to be convenient for my husband's needs and may be just what your looking for, especially if you're sick of constantly fumbling around for those misplaced reading glasses.
clic too small June 2, 2008 Clic glasses good in some aspects but for people with a little larger head the adjustable frames could use about an inch more, they are too tight on the head. People with a lot of hair or thick hair will experience the same problem, will not order any more until they adjust properly
Clic readers. April 27, 2008 Excellent readers. The only problem I had is I have a 7 3/4 hat size and they were to small. Clic does sell a larger size which I subsequently purchased online elsewhere. Would recommend.
Cool and Handy April 27, 2008 I first saw this type on the CSI New York TV show. I thought they were a very cool idea, but didn't know where to look for them. When I found them here, I decided to try them. I admit the stiff back (not like the flexible string type) took a little getting used to. But once you do, I don't think you'll want to go without. I use mine at work for computer, reading and close up work. When I don't need them, they just hang on my neck, and I can flip back the lens section so they don't click together. I don't ever forget where they are, but sometimes forget to take them off before going home. They are so light you can forget they are hanging there. I would recommend this style of reading glasses, and if you purchase a pair, be warned you will get a lot of comments and questions from the people around you!
Never lose, nor scratch.....especially if you are a fisherman April 18, 2008 I have purchased 3 pr. of these glasess for myself. I have had more comments regarding the glasses that it is unreal. I have ordered 3 pr. for my friends. They are great for the computer, tying fishing line without your regular glasses falling into the lake. Lost several pr. due to ingnorance, but not these. The pr. I have on now I have been wearing for over one year. Wish I could find a vendor and get them for say two-dollars I could make a fortune. I wish Amazon would try and figure out how to order these prescription. There has to be a way...Thanks. Bob
