 Works perfectly October 10, 2008
This has been my curling iron of choice over the years - I like the different heat settings & the size is perfect, not too big or small. Highly recommended.
nice, but no coating September 30, 2008
Pros: low price, nice curls, good quality
Cons: lack of ceramic or tourmaline coating makes hair more prone to snags
Bottomline: If you just want a cheap curling iron, then this is a great one. If you don't mind spending a little more, then get one that has some coating to prevent snagging.

OK, so after reading all of the reviews on this product my wife buys one. Well, in about 6 weeks the iron won't heat anymore. Sent it in got a new one because of the 2 year warranty (cost $10.00 for shipping & handling plus they wanted $3.00 for themselves). She used it about 4 months and then the little spring breaks. Having used other curling irons over the years and having had to replace the springs, we thought to call Conair and have them send us a replacement spring, about a $.10 item which takes about 60 seconds to replace. Well, they no longer sell the springs. The wanted to have us pack it up again and spend another $10.00 for shipping AND send them $3.00 to boot. Who are they kidding? What kind of service are they giving their customers. I will never buy another Conair product. I gave this product only one star because I couldn't go any lower.

I really really love this curling iron. With my fast-paced life, I have absolutely no time to take care of myself. I can plug in the curling iron and wah lah!! in just a couple of minutes I can be curling my hair. It heats up so fast! It also has settings so you could pick your temperature. The price was absolutely marvelous!! I have seen it at stores for much more.

This curling iron is perfect. I have thick and unmanageable hair. I bought this curling iron hoping it would curl my hair and make it better than it looks. Well it did more than that!! I get sooo many comments on how nice my hair looks and the nice thing about it is, I don't have to wait an hour for it to heat up and I don't have to set an hour aside to curl it. My iron is hot in 30 seconds and my hair is ready in 20 minutes... Thanks Conair!!!
