Triple action styling system keeps your hair detangled, straight, and shiny. | Innovation in Home Styling With the Conair 208, you can practically say good-bye to your hair brush. Combining several advanced technologies and design features, this hair styler not only works to dry your hair without hurting its natural sheen and luster, but it will also help you manage your hair by controlling frizz, promoting healthy hair and volume, straightening out unwanted curls, and adding a beautiful shine as you style. Conair's advanced Tourmaline Technology produces a controlled ion output that helps smooth the cuticle layer. Infrared energy works to protect your hair's natural luster, so you don't have to worry about excessive heat. And to help produce results with less frizz and more manageability, the styler also features unique Ionic technology, and a triple action styling system that keeps your hair detangled, straight and shiny. A Styler Designed for You The Conair 208 sports a sleek but durable stainless steel design. Included with the styler is a straightening attachment with a tension-control dial that turns a full 360 degrees and has eight locking positions. A patent-pending release lock button secures attachments on the barrel, offering the versatility that you need as you're styling your hair. Beneath the hood of the Conair 208 is a powerful 1875-watt motor that will deliver the heat and air range that you need. An easy-to-use, two-speed slide switch is set on the handle, and the styler includes a hinged filter for easy cleaning. A nine-foot professional line cord and cord tie will give you ample room as you take care of your hair. The Conair 208 also comes with a five-year manufacturer's warranty. The History of Tourmaline Ceramic Technology In 1970 Conair introduced the industry's first pistol grip hair dryer. Fast forward 35 years to France. In September 2005, Conair's French subsidiary BaByliss introduced a patent-pending design to control frizz, straighten hair, and to add shine and volume in one revolutionary step. Their BeLiss styler effectively eliminated the need for a hairbrush for straightening, and by the end of the year it was the number one seller in France. Conair introduced this new technology to the U.S. in the form of the Infiniti Hair Designer, a high-end, professional-caliber styler that produces salon-quality results at home. What's in the Box Conair 208 Infiniti hair designer, straightening attachment, and concentrator attachment.

Love this hairdryer! August 20, 2008 I have naturally curly hair that has gotten curlier as I have gotten older. I prefer to wear it straight, and this dryer does the trick. It's easy to use and my hair looks great when I'm done. There's no need to use a brush. You hold out a section of hair with one hand, and run the dryer down it from root to tip (repeat a few times). What's left is straighter, shinier hair. It's fast, too. I've cut down my drying time in half since I got this dryer. I also like the fact that it's small, travels well, and fits nicely in my bathroom drawer. It's hot enough and powerful enough to give you the results you are looking for. I definitely recommend this dryer to anyone with naturally curly hair who wants to wear it straight. Great product!
Good for the round-brush challenged! August 19, 2008 I have had this dryer for about a week now, and I have to say, aside from being a little weird to use the first few times, it does nice work. Before this, no matter how I tried, I would still have to flat iron my hair before I left the house. With this product, I get a smooth and soft look, with more volume than the flat iron would leave me. So, although it doesn't replace the sleekness of a flat iron, I no longer 'have' to use it.
I never watched the DVD and had no problems figuring it out: Just a little trouble getting the hang of it, but still ended with fabulous results. Also, it dries your hair quick-quick-quick. My old dryer couldn't come close.
I would recommend using a thermal protector when using this, as your hair is awfully close to the dryer and it gets much hotter than my old one.
Great Product August 2, 2008 This is a time saver!! Light weight, very easy to use. Attachments are easy to take off and put on.
wanted to like it July 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really wanted to like this but it just does not work for my hair. It was awkward to hold and use and did not make my hair smooth at all. My hair was straight but very frizzy. My old conair 1874 dryer with attached brush worked much better than this and is half the price.
Pricey but worth it July 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
OK this dryer cost more than I wanted to pay but I decided that I was worth it. It works on my African American hair. The attachements stay in place and it gets my hair really straight. I still flat iron my hair with my Wigo flat iron which I love but this dryer does not leave my hair brittle or dull. I have a nice glossy finish and it does not leave my hair looking damaged and dry.
