High magnification, versatile illumination, and multi-angle viewing make this tri-fold mirror from Jerdon a virtual cockpit of makeup application. Structured for panoramic viewing, the mirror features two adjustable side panels, plus a center section with regular reflection on one side and 5X magnification on the other. Two bars of fluorescent lighting offer cool, glare-free illumination, and the color-correct light menu lights your face for day or evening, the office or home. A built-in outlet accommodates curling irons and roller sets, while an adjustable backstand offers 11 angles to work from. The entire unit folds up flat for storage. Though the mirror does not feel as substantial as the company's all-metal models, it does roll several features into one compact model. In addition, the reflection is consistently clear, and the side panels stay put where you place them. Fully extended, the mirror measures 19 by 12 inches.  Nice and bright September 29, 2008
I used to have a Clairol mirror that I loved, but after years of use, it finally stopped working. Since it is no longer made, I decided to try the Jerdon mirror. I love this mirror. It is very bright, and I have no trouble getting the lights to come on. Just hold the button for a second--no problem. Anyone who is used to the old Clairol mirrors will love this one even more. I am going to buy my daughters each one for Chrismas. This is the brightest make-up mirror I have found.

This is a lighted make-up mirror that should be taken off the market. It has a glider that is suppose to allow different shades of light, but presumably a manufacturing flaw disallows it to "day" and "office" setting. A metal bar behind it, stops it from moving to the left. The phone number of the manufacturer, Jerdon, in the brocure, is incorrect. I reached a number of a citizen who says he in inundated with calls of people trying to reach Jerdon, complaining about the very same thing. I e-mailed them, gave them all the information they needed to research and they replied they needed additional information to research it. I finally returned the product.

I owned this same mirror previously and loved it. Couldn't find one anywhere in any local department stores. Was thrilled when I found it on Amazon!!

I like this mirror so much that I bought a second one. My first one is working just fine but I worried that they'd stop making it by the time I need a new one. Brightness is the most important thing to me and this is just great in that respect.
It took me about 2 days to get into the habit of holding down the 'on' button (for maybe a second or two) until the lights turn on. Now it's just second nature to me.
This is the closest thing to Clairol's True-to-Light mirror that's still available.

I was so glad when I found this mirror. I have been looking for one like it a long time. I only wish the on/off switch works a little faster.
