Amazon.com Product Description Chances are there's one or two places at home where you'd love to enjoy music without having to go to the trouble of laying the speaker wire (or drilling the holes) to get it there. And, short of strapping on a pair of headphones, your options are pretty limited. Fret no more: The WSP150 wireless powered speaker system from RCA lets you import music from CD, radio, DVD, or virtually any audio source to nearly any room in the house--the range is about 150 feet, even through most walls and floors. The WSP150 uses the FM (frequency-modulation) technique employed in radio to transmit audio to the two speakers, each of which houses its own 2-watt amplifier. The speakers each offer a roll-on power/volume switch and a tone control/bass boost button. The system comes with two main parts: the transmitter and the speakers, all of which require close proximity to an AC outlet, unless you opt to battery-power the speakers--perfect for outdoor use in nice weather (requires four D batteries per speaker, not included). The transmitter plugs into a wall outlet and hooks into your desired audio source via a single stereo minijack-to-RCA cable (supplied). Be aware that with no master balance knob, the two speakers must be manually adjusted for equal volume. What's in the Box A transmitter, two stereo speaker/receivers, two DC power adapters (6V, for speakers), one DC power adapter (19V, for transmitter), an 8-inch Y cable adapter (.125-inch minijack to two RCA-type plugs), user's manual, and warranty information.
Product Description No more drilling, tucking cables under carpet, and fiddling with endless tangles of cable. Wireless technology from RCA brand can give you freedom from wires. Fill and surround your house with sound from RCA 900MHz wireless speaker systems. This WSP150 wireless speaker system uses the latest 900MHz RF technology that enables you to enjoy stereo sound anywhere around your home - even outside on your deck or patio! Just connect the transmitter to any audio source (CD, DSS, VCR, stereo, radio or TV) for full stereo sound without the need to run wires to your speakers. You may place the speakers anywhere within range (approx. 150 feet) of the transmitter to receive the stereo signal.

RCA WSP150 900 MHz WIRELESS SPEAKERS May 13, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. WE WERE GOING TO HAVE THE HOUSE WIRED FOR SPEAKERS, BUT FOUND THAT IT IS NOW NOT NECESSARY. SAVED US A LOT OF MONEY!
Just OK for wireless! April 13, 2007 Had this set of speakers for close to a year now. They really are nothing special for the price. ONE problem is when running them on battery the signal seems to drift (if you lock in a signal at all)! They do come with power cord to plug each speaker into AC. I have outside wiring so this is no trouble. TWO if you walk between the transmitter and the speeakers the music cuts out.If you plan to buy these and run them on battery alone, and mounting them in a high traffic area (I mounted mine high above head level), DON'T PURCHASE THEM!
Is it just me? March 14, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm shopping around for wireless speakers to use in a conference room at work so that I can pull in a few folks attending by teleconference.
I'm sorry, but I just don't think there's any way I could set this up on my conference table without some of my colleagues having to work very hard to conceal a grin, or even a snicker.
The problem, to put it delicately, is that the antenna is, well, er, it's um, kinda... WELL, JUST LOOK AT IT! A possible distraction.
Not worth it - terrible product, major vendor issues March 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product as a gift for some friends - following the directions carefully, they were only able to get one of the speakers to work and that intermittantly - after I got the speaker system back from them, I gave it a try - bad results, worse this time - only static from one speaker - I double checked to make sure that I had installed everything correctly including making sure that the correct power adapters were attached to the speakers - no go - and, then, when I went to return it to the company from whom I bought it in Canada, I got the royal run around - finally after lots of phone calls and mail issues (don't get me started on "customs" issues) I returned the product and got the price of the speakers back - however, no refund on shipping either way which amounted to about $89 total - so ... two things: [1] the product is shabby and not worth the price (go to Sharper Image and buy theirs - better product, cheaper price) and [2] never buy anything from Amazon.com that is not from an American supplier.
RCA WSP 150 transmitter January 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The transmitter light when connected to the Transmitter adapter and then plugged into the power will not stay on. It fades out and then nothing is possible. I spent a lot of time trying to get them to work (going to Radio Shack) and finally returned them The replacement was EXACTLY the same problem. There will not be a third time! Bad Bad Bad.
