Editorial Reviews:
Product Description 3M PF17.0 LCD privacy filter keeps confidential and private information private. It utilizes 3M's blackout privacy technology so only persons directly in front of the monitor can see the image on screen, passersby see only a dark black screen. 3M PF17.0 is excellent for high traffic areas. It protects your LCD panel from scratches and damage.

Eh. April 18, 2008 There is a very (VERY) limited area where screen is dark from onlookers. Wish I didn't buy this.
It works like magic! November 29, 2007 This product is just what I needed. I use a 17 inch monitor and the pricacy screen fits like a glove. There are sticky tabs that come with the privacy screen sheet to hold it up against the monitor that might distract you from time to time but what the heck, just ignore them.
Perfect! October 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just what I was looking for ... especially when it involves privacy issues in Healthcare.
Doesn't work unless you are next to monitor August 6, 2007 The viewing field with this product in place is far too wide. You can stand 45 degrees from the monitor and still see the screen. You practically have to be standing at a 90 degree angle from the screen to have it blank out. Most LCD monitors are difficult to read from that angle anyways.
Returned mine.
Terrible product, Read why April 4, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First of all the product does not totally inhibit the ability of someone sitting next to you on an airplane seeing your screen, it just creates a more dark shadow of what's on your screen. Second, if your screen did not have a glare before it will now with this product. Third, there is a distracting notch at the top of the filter so you have this annoying thumb sized area and the filter does not cover. Do not waste you money on this 3M so-called privacy filter.
