Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached?
The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron pedometers?
The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
What are moderate steps?
At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day. The HJ-151 Pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace.
What are aerobic steps?
The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer separately displays aerobic steps and minutes that start counting after 10 minutes of continuous walking with more than 60 steps a minute.
How does the PC software work?
The HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP. It keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.

 Perfect Pedometer May 17, 2008
I do a lot of walking...doctor's orders. I have purchased a few of the cheap throw-away pedometers in the past and they all offer limited features and cheaply made. This Omron pedometer is just what the doctor ordered! This is a quality product with lots of features.
And a fairly reasonable price to boot!
Best Pedometer Ever May 17, 2008
Having used quite a few different types of pedometers, I can honestly say this is the best pedometer I have ever tried. It is easy to program and it keeps a record of your results for 1 week. I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend buying this to anyone who wants to increase their walking or just see how far they actually walk each day/week.

Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer
I have tried more than 10 pedometers before this one. I set them up, wore them on several walks that I knew the distance for, and with great disappointment when they all were off by enough to be laughable, threw them into my pedometer discard drawer. But I have logged several hundred thousand steps with this one in the past four months and it is still going strong and with great accuracy. If you choose this one, you may never need to buy another pedometer.

I have been looking for sometime a pedometer that counts steps and calories when I came across this one. Initially I was looking for a "wrist-watch" type pedometer, because I wear skirts 98% of the time, except at the gym (SMILE!); but they cost way more than I was willing to spend. This one is great because it not only has a belt (waist) clip, it is doubly secure because the cord also clips. It fits perfectly on my skirts, counts my regualr and aerobic steps, counts my calories and calculates mile. My only wish it that is was "slighty smaller", otherwise, I absolutely love it!!!
Quick and Easy May 15, 2008
This is a great product. There are many very cheap pedometers out there but this one really is worth the money with all the accessories it comes with and functions it has.
The set up of the pedometer was pretty quick and easy. Make sure, when setting your stride, you aren't taking bigger steps than you usually would or it won't count every step you take. I did this as first and had to later adjust it (easy) to make sure it was accurate. Also, sometimes depending on what type of shoe I'm wearing, the pedometer won't count correctly. For example, when I wear flats vs. heels, I apparently take shorter steps and all my steps weren't being counted. Make sure to account for this if you see that happening too.
I really like the mile counter and the "aerobic" step function. I think what triggers this is when you take many steps without stopping, as you would if just walking around. The aerobic step counter was very accurate - it counts steps and number of minutes.
Overall, great product. It really keeps you aware of how many steps you are (or aren't) taking per day and keeps you motivated to keep moving.
