Good buy October 3, 2008 Great alternative to a full tripod......of course, YOU can't be in the shot.....but for longer lenses, it is a great aid to stop camera shake! Made well..........good buy.
Monopod a delight! September 30, 2008 I received the Monopod in perfect condition and in a timely manner. I was so happy to have it when I went on a hiking trip with my daughter. I was delighted with the product and the seller's promptness.
Terrific monopod August 31, 2008 I can't believe that everything the reviewers have said about this product is true. It is quite sturdy and functional. I have not noticed any slippage downward when I put pressure on it, and it serves well as a walking stick. I wish I had bought two of these and will probably order another. I added the Giottos monopod ballhead for added functionality. I did do some comparison shopping at local photography shops and Best Buy, etc. Unless you want to spend $80 or more on a monopod, this is your best bet.
Well, It Worked Great for 5 Months... August 17, 2008 I bought this to use with my Canon Rebel XTi. I immediately loved it since it added just a little bit more stability to my photos, which increased their quality, especially for macro and long distance shots. Then five months after I started using it, the metal screw that attaches to the camera broke off with my camera attached while I was walking with the camera and monopod supported on my shoulder. I luckily had the camera strap in my fingers, so I caught my camera before it hit the ground. Now this monopod is going into the trash. I'm definitely going to replace it soon though since my overall experience was positive and I found it to be a very useful tool. I just would like a longer-lasting product. Maybe it's a good idea to invest a little more money for one that is more durable.
Opteka 67" Monopod August 13, 2008 I am really pleased with this product. It is super convenient to use and easy to adjust to differing photo situations. Whether I was in the stands sitting or on the sidelines of my son's football game, the monopod was easy to adjust and gave me the stability to take graet photos.
