Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Take your data, digital photos, video and MP3 files on the road and access them easily from any computer using its USB port, with this 1GB TravelDrive USB 2.0 flash drive from Memorex. At less than an inch wide, these USB flash drives are 30% smaller than the original TravelDrive, while retaining a round, textured gripping area that makes for superior ergonomics. The transparent cap that protects the device's USB connector is specially designed to fit on the back of the drive, like a pen cap, to prevent loss. A reinforced aluminum lanyard loop on the back of the drive is highly resistant to breaking, and a blue LED indicator adds to the cool factor of this versatile mobile storage device.

5 out of 5 stars Holds its data well   June 26, 2008
I've had this traveldrive for over a year now. The outside is scratched, but I'm not delicate with it at all. I've dropped it numerous times and it's gone through the washing machine at least 3 times. I've never lost any data even with all this abuse. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a rugged thumb drive.

5 out of 5 stars Not too bad   April 28, 2008
Would look around and get something bigger at this point for the same price, but it was good when I got it a while back. Still holding up well and zero problems.

5 out of 5 stars Great little item!   December 12, 2007
These little traveldrives are great. I have one and had to get them for my college kids because they are so easy to use. If I can figure out how to use this trust me, anyone can. I'll never worry about lost files again. The price and ease of use makes this a great little gift.

5 out of 5 stars These things are great to have   November 7, 2007
I've been using these since July. I only use the Memorex ones. I have not had any type of problem. They are fast, reliable, hold a lot of data. I can put about 112 songs on one. In fact, you can even copy video files on to the flash drive and transfer them to another device--easy to use. This is some of the best technology I have seen in a long time. It is probably just a matter of time until they come out with smaller, more portable computers. With the flash drives, you can literally walk around with several of the flash drives, have 40 or 50 gigs at your disposal--for maps, music, video, etc. I even use the 4 gig one for a backup drive. Memorex is providing a good solid product. If that changes, then I will change this review.

Oh yes you can go wrong buying from Memorex and there is a surprise!
NOTE from Memorex WEB page:

You can see the warranty states replace! I just called them as the 4-gig drive I just bought is dead. I plugged it into the computer, transferred one small file to it and went to transfer the second and the drive was "write protected". There is no fix and I cannot remove my data from it. I found allot of people on the web that have the same problem. Nobody can fix it. Even Memorex states it cannot be fixed.

It was plugged in for 2 minutes. Memorex tells me I can ship it to them and they will send me a "reconditioned" unit. OR, I can contact the online company I bought it from and have them replace it. So, I paid $60.00 for new and got 2 min of use and they want to send me a reconditioned unit that if it happens again, they will claim there is no warranty for reconditioned product. They will not send a new one and THEY WANT ME TO SEND MY DATA TO SOMEONE ELSE.

You will also note the warranty on the web is 1 year. The warranty with the drive is 2 years. Well 2 years or 2 min. which ever comes first. I'm done. I won't do business with a multi-million dollar company that FAILS to disclose they replace product with refurbished item and makes there money by ripping off the little guy or the people who sell there product.
