Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
JetFlashV10 is a tiny flash drive with stylish design and outstanding performance. The JetFlashV10's special capless design uses a sliding USB, which protects the connector from damage when not in use. Its classic design includes a hook and a neck strap for convenience and to prevent loss, making the device easier to remove from a USB port.

2 out of 5 stars Boy, is this thing slow...   June 12, 2008
It's excruciatingly slow. I probably should have sent it back, but I told myself "what the heck - you're not in that big a hurry, right?" Well, maybe I am after all. On the plus side, it does work and has been reliable to far. On the minus side, it doesn't work very fast. And the problem doesn't appear to have anything to do with Windows, either - I use the current version of OSX on a Mac.

5 out of 5 stars Best deal $$/GB   April 26, 2008
This is one of the best deals when talking price per GB. the design is pretty good looks nice and the speed is very good as well. I'm planning to buy more

1 out of 5 stars Slow as mud. Don't buy for multimedia use.   March 16, 2008

I purchased one of these about a year ago. The price for an 8MB Flash Drive looked like a fantastic deal at that time. The cliche "You get what you pay for" now comes to mind. I have owned at least six different USB drives over the last three years and this is by FAR the slowest of any of these many times over. 8MB is a lot of storage, but it takes FOREVER to write large files to this drive. I would strongly urge anyone considering this drive to spend the extra money for a faster high capacity drive if you will be copying large files to the drive on a regular basis. I regret trying to save money with this drive. It's really that slow.

5 out of 5 stars The Transcend Jetflash is great!   March 11, 2008
This is the second Jetflash I have owned and they both are the best thumbdrives I have owned or seen among friends. The slide out feature protects the USB connection and the construction is very durable.

I own several of these devices. They are well designed, with the USB connector retracting into the body. The loop at the end is strong and will not break easily when carried in your pocked on a keychain.(Be sure to use the little ring included with the package to attach it.)

Read and write speeds are adequate. Some people have claimed that this particular unit is slow. I don't really understand what they are talking about. I routinely transfer several gigabytes of data to one of these units and it doesn't appear to take an unseemly amount of time. One has to wonder if the complainers aren't overlooking some other factors, such as a problem with the Windows copy process which is inherently flawed and that I never use for transferring large amounts of data or a great number of files. You are much better off using BeyondCompare or any number of other utilities for such tasks.

These devices often to on sale, so you might be well served being patient and waiting for such a sale.

Overall, I think these are terrific bargains and absolutely great for transporting significant amounts of data.

Jerry
