Works but to big October 5, 2008 I had the IGO 85 which had worked good for me for several years. When I was assigned a new company laptop I checked into getting an new tip but found that IGO did not support my new Dell with the old 85 watt unit. I was told by IGO that the 130 was the only system they were supporting, so I had to order one... OK Well when I got it I found out that it was about 25% larger and heavier than my old 85 watt. I am disappointed in IGO for dropping the smaller units... I'll have to live with it now as there is not as flexable of system out there other than Targus, but the systems are virtually the same. If you don't mind adding the extra weight it works well. I was pleased with the price I paid through Amazon
Promising but failed like many others I know of October 3, 2008
This product has so much potential. It does everything I want it to. But it packed it in within 6 months. Others I know have had the same experience. The iGO people need to address their quality issues.
Transformer Great but large and heavy-Tip UNACCEPTABLE September 28, 2008 Purchased an iGo Anywhere130 and an S10 tip from Amazon to power my Inspiron 8200, which iGo indicates via the product chooser tool on their web site that is the correct tip and transformer combination for the 8200.
NOT SO! The tip is for previous models that require 75 watts rather than the 90 watts required by the 8200, and if used with the 8200 will generate a message indicating the system is running in its reduced performance mode due to only 75 watts of power available. iGo initially said the tip was tested to work correctly with the 8200 (a lie as we will see), but would not give me the power specifications of the S10 tip, saying the information is proprietary! I finally received an email admitting that the S10 tip is not compatible with the 8200, and they also indicated that they would not remedy the situation as the tip was an older model, and to try to return the unit from point of purchase. Shame on iGo!
Not well made September 25, 2008 First of all, it is very heavy. Secondly, it is poorly made. A few days after I bought it, I took it with me while on an overseas flight. It was a brand new unit, and yet it didn't work on the airplane (there was nothing wrong with the power connection at my seat. My neighbor had another iGo unit. He plugged his into mine, and it worked for him). I had to sit through a 16-hr flight without my laptop. When I returned, I tried to contact the manufacturer for a warranty replacement. I had to fill out a form and fax back the receipt to approve my purchase. I then had to return the defected unit at my own expense. Then another month went on, and I still didn't receive the replacement unit. I called the company, and was told that they had no record of receiving the package, and therefore refused to send me a new unit. I was very disappointed with both the poor quality of the product and the poor customer service that I received.
iGo Everywhere 130 Mobility Notebook computer power supply July 30, 2008 iGo Everywhere130 PS00099-0008 Universal 100 Wattt AC/DC Notebook Adapter with Dualpower Product shipped correctly. Tested at home on 120v - worked fine. Unfortunately, did not do a test in auto @ 12v before boarding Delta flight [archaic plane despite first class - never fly Delta!] and found the cable component [two separate circuits for 12/120] was defective for connecting to plane's 12v outlet - called manufacturer company directly and they shipped immediately a replacement. So, long story - problem but correctly and completely resolved.
