 Nice sound July 26, 2008
My pre-teen daughter wanted a set of speakers for her ipod so I told her to do her research and we would get her a set within a reasonable price range. After she did her "homework" - she selected these speakers. For such small speakers this set really does have great sound. It comes with a great little case for storage and travel, too.
Problems with charging battery July 26, 2008
I purchased the black Pure Fi Anywhere model. The battery would not take a charge. Tried the reset button that is not mentioned in the manual and still did not work. I read about this step online while searching for help. Contacted Amazon customer service who quickly sent a new unit and a return shipping label for the bad one. Amazon was great but the repalcement unit had the same problem. I then contacted Logitech for assistance. Calling them did not work but using email ended up working. This took several email messages with suggestions from them which did not work. In the end, they sent a new unit and arranged pickup of the then current bad unit. The third unit works just fine. This process took about 4 weeks but Logitech did reslove the matter. If you have this issue, contact Logitech and be persistant and patient and you should get help. Hope this helps if you are dealing with the same issue.

It is very portable and the remote is handy.
It is not very loud though if you need it to
be. Not good on picnics but great for the garage.

It is not loud enough for more than one room. Less than that with people talking in it. I wanted it for outside and it is not good for outside at all. With the volume turned all the way up the sound quallity is really bad. In a single quite room it works well. It might be nice for a camper or desktop radio. Sorry Logitech you missed me on this one.

Very Impressed July 24, 2008
These speakers exceeded our expectations. We use them for barbeque's and going on vacation. They might not be quite enough for a large party, but if you just need background music in a few rooms, these are great. The sound is really impressive, and you don't have to worry about that muffled sound when you turn them up. The remote is handy, but don't expect to be able to use it from across a large room. The case that came with the speakers is perfect for traveling, and just for storing the speakers when not in use. Overall, we are very happy and will definitely get some good use out of these.
