 light, compact, quick, reliable August 19, 2008
it works just fine, no complaints at all. haven't tried using backup software. mainly just using it to transfer large amounts of data between computers.
 Portable USB External Hard Drive 320GB August 15, 2008
The price was great. Loaded up all my audio and video files for using on several machines. Turned out to be the perfect backup for the hard drive crash on my desktop which would have required reloading from 30 DVDram disks. Instead, just hooked up the portable drive and copied from there to the fixed hard drive.
Saved my butt!

Bought this for my Linux laptop. Works right of the box. Changed the file system to ext3. The bottom rubber strip is a plus which prevents the drive from sliding down on my slanted desk. Beautiful exterior finish.
Great little backup August 12, 2008
This is a great backup device. It's small, portable, you can take it anywhere and have all your data available at a moment's notice. It fits right in my handbag and it's so light you wouldn't know it was there. When backing up it's fast and smooth. All round great product
Nice portable HD August 12, 2008
As far as storage and backup goes, this is great. Just throw the files you need onto it and keep them in your case. I purchased the Caselogic PHDC-1 Small case and it works nicely with this hard drive. Good purchase. I am not sure about transfer speeds and all that, but if you need some portable storage, this is the drive that can fulfill that requirement.
