First charger faulty, second worked July 12, 2008 Although the first charger I received didn't work, when I contacted the seller (SPplanet) they quickly sent a replacement that has been working fine. For the the price I don't think I can really complain.
Just make sure whatever company you're buying from has a good replacement policy and you'll end up saving yourself a bundle.
Doesn't work with 2nd gen Nano June 22, 2008 I debated a few days whether I should get it for my 2nd generation iPod Nano, but decided to go ahead and buy it since the price was much cheaper compared to other options. Sadly, this charger does not appear to work for my Nano (tried it both in the United States and Europe). It makes my Nano screen flicker and changes the tone of colors on the screen. It didn't destroy the iPod by just trying it, but I was too afraid to leave it charging for an extended period of time since the iPod started getting too warm and the screen was still flickering.
The charger I received is slightly different from the one pictured. It is possible that some of these chargers work with 2nd gen nano and others don't.
Works great! June 11, 2008 No complaints here. No frills or fancy packaging, but I'd rather not pay extra for that. My iPod charged right up (even in Costa Rica!) and I have been 100% satisfied with my purchase.
If you need one of these, this is one. June 8, 2008 At under $2, it is hard to argue with this widget. It works and it's almost free. Why wouldn't you get one? I gave these out as stocking-stuffers last Christmas 'cause it will work with anything that charges from USB -- not just iPods. Cell-phones, whatever.
Works Great for my Shuffle June 2, 2008 Great price (under $5 with shipping). Works just fine for my 2nd generation Shuffle. The red status light saves you from plugging it into a switched outlet that's dead.
Amusing China-isms such as "In Door use only". (Just hollow out an old door and you'll be fine.)
Flaws: The packaging is mis-marked @ 12 volts, 1 AMP, but the unit states 5.0 Volts +/- 5%, 150 mA minumum, 500mA maximum, which I believe is correct. Would give it 6 stars if the plug prongs folded away for compactness.
