My rating of the Handy switch August 28, 2008 It works fine if it is at line of sight but when thier is a obstruction it cuts the signal down a lot. 60 feet is way over kill.
Multiple Switches - all working well... July 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Liked the first Handy Switch for the pantry light so much got two more, one for a radio and one for a lamp. All work nicely with no interferences. Great product! P.S. They should show the paper tab on the back of the switch being pulled off in the commercial. That liberates the battery. Visuals are good memory assists. Almost forgot to do that on the second switch - thought it didn't work - until...
Because a dresser makes a great nightstand and The Clapper is just plain silly. July 7, 2008 Cathy and I keep our clothes in a pair of tall dressers which double as our nightstands. The bedside lamps are at the ideal height for lighting up the bedroom and for in-bed reading. The downside: When Morpheus beckons you into the Land of Nod, you have to haul yourself halfway out of bed to turn off the lamp, breaking the spell.
The Clapper might be fine for solo sleepers but I don't think my better half would appreciate a burst of applause after she's drifted off. When we found these on the As Seen On TV rack at a nearby store, we took the plunge, Billy Mays notwithstanding.
With the switch-shaped transmitter attached to the side of the dresser at pillow height, the Handy Switch does what it promises, and the receiver is a helpful, if brilliant, nightlight and power indicator. Since it uses the same miniature 12-volt battery as our doorbell button and garage door opener transmitters, maintenance is no-brainer simple.
great concept if it worked June 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i ordered 2 for my kids so they could turn on their own lights. one didn't work at all when i received it so i bought a new battery (a specialty one at that) and still nothing. the other worked for about a week then completely stopped working. i would love this product if it actually worked!!!!! i did get a refund, but would have been much happier if the product did what it should have.

Handy Switch Wireless Light Switch
TV offer offered two hady switches for 19.95. Billing listed 2 handy switches @ 19.95 each total 39.90. This is a ripoff operation no matter how good the product might be. James T. Walters
