3 out of 5 stars Not bad for the money   May 31, 2008

While I don't recall it being advertised, mine came complete with the flashing red LED that is to simulate an operating camera. I bought three and one came with the LED operational. Another one did not have the wires from the LED connected to the battery compartment and yet another just simply would not work, even with the batteries hooked up directly to the LED. Overall I'm happy with them and they have already paid for themselves.

One other thing that I did was move the simulated camera located inside housing up and forward to make it more visible. I think the way they come the actual camera unit is too low and to me, doesn't look as real. It is designed so that the height of the camera (inside the housing) can be adjusted but just not quite enough. I took the camera out completely and glued a small wood block to the adjustable base and glued the camera to the block a bit forward to get it up close to the glass front.

I would have rated these higher if the LEDs all worked and if the cameras were positioned a little better.
