I use this flash with my Nikon D40. This flash suits all my novice needs. Simply an amazing product!!!

Having children, it is very difficult for me to drive into the city to shop around. Amazon made it very easy and the seller's product was in new condition for a bit less than I would pay at the retail store.

I needed a flash to do a friends wedding knowing that I would be shooting with a very bright background (Lake and Sunset). After research and research for the dollar the sb-600 was the unit to have for my purpose.
It work flawlessly the only errors were me not trusting what it was doing.
I felt at first it was giving me too much fillin flash effect so I limited the amount of light with filtering etc. I was wrong the flash was right. Thank goodess for bracketing exposures.
Recommend this unit to anyone! Way to go Nikon..... HAve a look for yourself

I've used my friends SB-800. It made the light on his pictures better than just regular flash that you have on your Nikon.
I couldn't afford SB-800 just yet. So I searched for a less expensive flash, but also relates to the SB-800.
And there it is! The SB-600! Wayyyy cheaper than the 800. I'm LOVING it. My pictures are turning out wayyyyy better.
It fits onto a D80.

Can't say enough about how fantastic this flash has been for my D80. Absolutely night and day improvement in every part of my indoor and outdoor picture taking. Awesome feature set, and great functionality. Wouldn't consider anything else.
