Great Flash July 6, 2008 This is my first DLSR Camera and this is my first flash for a DLSR. I have not used other flashes, but I can tell you that this flash works very well for me. It provides excellent light and many times better lighting than the built-in camera flash. It is not an energy hog as you would expect. I keep rechargable batteries on hand (uses four AA's) but even with the use of those batteries, it still is pretty efficient from what I can tell. Again, nothing to compare it to, but I am very pleased with it.
Good low cost flash June 23, 2008 The Sony HVL-F36AM is a great flash with wireless and HSS features. Overall a good flash unit.
Sony hvl-f36am Flash May 31, 2008 I bought the Sony HVL-F36am flash for my Sony digital SRL 100. The flash price is a little high compare to the other brand ($150.00 to $220.00).Overall the flash is very good. One thing I don't like that the flash runs on battery instead uses the charger and recharger like Nikon.
Great Flash May 29, 2008 Its a real good flash and the great thing is the sync with the DSLR. The battery consumption is also not high, which keeps you on the move, without getting into the hassle of frequent charging
It's HUGE! May 20, 2008 despite being huge...it meters quite accurately ..powerful flash...Sony ..you should try to have this same features in a smaller package.
