this product works great. I love the heavy duty bag and the height of the stand. its a good stand for the price.

I bought this because it was cheap, and it is. It works fine but it feels cheap and it has a really cheap tightening system for each pice of the light stands. It works like a quick release on a bike except the plastic feels cheap. So if your really on a tight, tight budget it will work but I suggest you just save a bit more and get something nicer.

I was going to build a support system using PVC pipe because I thought it would be cheaper. As I started gathering a material list for all the special fittings and pipe I realized the home made support system was going to cost more than this one.
This support system is well constructed, pro quality, sets up in minutes, the soft carry case is also exceptional quality. I could not be more pleased with this support system and would recommend it to anyone.
Perfect for a studio and portable enough for sports team photography or portraiture on location. I'd give it six stars if that were possible.

PROS: Easy to assemble, very stable at most heights, the case is very functional and practical, very good buy at the price
CONS: Just one, at mid-to-full extension the stability seems to diminish. But keep in mid that a mid-to-full extension is at least 7 feet and beyond, so unless you're spreading a background that extends HIGHER than 7 feet, you'll do just fine.
BOTTOM LINE: I love this setup and was amazed at the durability of its steel construction. I opted for this unit because the base just *looks* more durable and I'm very glad I did. I looked at at least 6 other background support systems, but this one had a much more impressive stand base than the other models.
Highly recommended!
