alignment's weird July 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My only problem with this scanner is the alignment. I had to make a copy of my dog's vaccination form, and the scanner made a copy that I swear is even better than the original. However, it also cut off the top 1/2 inch of the form where the address of the vet was. SO I had to fiddle with it a bit, and finally figured out to sacrifice the bottom portion of the form (fine print anyway, but could be a problem later on) to get the pertinent info to come out.
The sound from the scanner was nothing compared to the noise that came from my OLD scanner. It weights next to nothing (again, a change from my old one) and I have no trouble pulling it in and out of where I keep it (limited space for peripherals) to use it.
I have a little issue with the cover-lid-thingy, but I just don't like that it's not super smooth. Normal people would not be bothered by the way the door-thing opens. I don't like the way it hinges in.
I love love love the copy feature (minus the alignment issue), and I love the PDF feature. One press easy use features work perfectly for me.
Overall, I love my scanner.
Best performance/price ratio in the market July 3, 2008 I have LiDE 20 for many years (scanned a lot of pictures and a lot of documents). I am still using it regularly. It always perform as expected and it is slim and light and power directly through USB. Since it is so good, I wanted to buy a second one (one at home, one at work). But LiDE 20 is out of market so I bought the LiDE 25. The LiDE 25 Windows driver is different to LiDE 20 but there is no sweat. The price is so low. I was paying $100 for the LiDE 20 but LiDE 25 cost only $50. The LiDE 25 has more features but I just want it to work like LiDE 20 and it did.
Great Little Scanner July 2, 2008 I really like this scanner. It was great for the price. I scanned about 40 or so pictures that I used on a website. Really easy to use no problems at all. It also is small in size and saves space. I remember the first scanner I had about 10 years ago. The thing was big and bulky and it took forever to scan. It also was pretty expensive. What a long way things have come..

Hi This scaner is exactly what I was looking for. I just play on the computer so don't need anything more complicated. It works for me. Sincerely, Sandy Chausee

This is a nice scanner. It looks good and is compact. I mainly use it to scan documents and have only used it a couple of times for photographs.
The scan speed is a little slow but otherwise it works well and the included software is easy to use. This is my fourth scanner (over many years) and I am very pleased with this one for the price.
