SANYO HD1000 HOLSTER IN GREAT SHAPE. August 20, 2008 GREAT SELLER AND FAST DELIVERY. WELL RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. THANKS, G. MEYER
doesn't feel secure August 11, 2008 I got this with my Xacti HD 1000 and it doesn't feel like it was made for this camera. It always feels like it's going to fall out and it did, luckily I was home on my couch messing around with it when it fell. I no longer use it and the little bag that comes with the Xacti works just fine for me.
It's backwards! July 7, 2008 I would not buy this case because it looks like its completely backwards of how I would want it... my preference would be to place it on my right hip where it would be easily accessible by my right hand, which is the only hand you would be using to shoot, correct? Why in the world would I want it to be on my left? I would have to take the camera out and switch hands constantly. The whole point of these small palm cameras is quick accessibility even at times when you are traveling and have only one free hand.
Also it looks quite a lot like a gun holster which I guess could be good or bad depending on what kind of 'look' you are after!
Case closed -- Not! March 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sanyo VCP-HCX3 Holster Case for the HD1000 I installed a UV filter immediately upon purchase of the camcorder, found that with the filter in place the case would not close properly. The problem is easy to solve by stapling a strip of heavy-duty velcro fastener on either side of the case, then cutting the matching velcro strip of appropriate length to stretch between the 2 strips. This is an issue that Sanyo could, and should, have addressed itself. Some field testing would have promptly revealed the design flaw in the case and Sanyo's solution would be more elegant, I'm sure. Or not?
This case cost me my camera! March 7, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I'm in the US navy. I was wearing the case and camera on my belt clip while I was leaving my ship to go out on liberty. I took a fast step and somehow that shot the camera out of the holster, it fell on the deck and bounced once before it went over the side and into the water. GRRrr!! It's a good camera so I managed to buy it all over again. As I wait to get it in the mail, I'm missing a lot of deployment ports to take videos from. This case is a very loose fit, and the camera will fall out of it and get all scratched up or worse.
