5 out of 5 stars amazing   September 21, 2008
this is not your typical alarm clock! beautiful screen on which you can download pictures to display along with time, date, and alarm status. highly recommend this product. great gift for the person who has everything.

4 out of 5 stars Nice little clock   July 25, 2008
I like this item and got a great deal on it which makes it even better. I think the screen is big and it has a lot of decent features.

1 out of 5 stars 3 thumb tacks work better   June 4, 2008

3 thumb tacks, 3 photo's and a wall is easier.
Read carefully...with memory so cheap, the construction of the screen must be really expensive. This electronic frame can only hold 3 photo's at best, otherwise a dedicated photo chip or memory stick is required, more cost.
Also this electronic frame when connected to Mac OS10.04 was not recognized and could not load pictures directly to frame, only by memory stick and a limit of three pics. You had to delete the existing three pre-loaded on the frame and then replace. The frame controls where not very efficient. The whole process was frustrating and I boxed the product for return the same day received.

4 out of 5 stars Very satisfied!   May 27, 2008

By going thru Amzon.com I paid a little more than half of what I would have paid buying the item brand new. It was a brand new item that someone else had purchased but did not want which worked out great for me. The purchase, payment and receipt of the item was very easy and fast. I'm very satisfied!

1 out of 5 stars The alarm can't play audio files...   May 18, 2008
1 out of 4 found this review helpful

I got the clock from a popular store in Spain, two days ago.
Funny thing, the guys from the store didn't even know that it could play mp3.
But now I think I'll give it back.

The reason is that the alarm can't be used with the mp3 player.
I would like to wake up with mp3 files from the SD.
Does anyone know if there is one with such option or other similar?

I normally use my mobile phone, but I want a clock like this, but that is also able to wake me up with my own sounds/music, just like I do with the mobile phone. The clock cost me 139 euros, and it is too much if the alarm does not play mp3 files, because that was the reason I bought it.

I didn't want to rate the product because I haven't really tested the rest of functionalities, but it seems Amazon does not let me give "no stars" as a valid rating.

Anyway, as others have already pointed, I think it is kind of silly to have an alarm clock with mp3 player, and not to be able to play them with the alarm. I can see that other functions could have been removed and make this one available. I think it is an unfinished/incomplete product.

Or even better, Philips can make a simpler and cheaper product with that functionality, and remove many others that really don't fit in an alarm clock...

If someone knows a product with that property, I'll appreciate if you post the information in a comment.
