Love the phone and Amazon was great to buy from March 24, 2008 I purchased two Lg Env from amazon with my new Verizon family plan. I got two phones for the price of one. I had no problem setting up my account. I ordered the phones 11:00 pm Friday night and by Tuesday they were in my hands, I was shocked it only took 4 days as all the reveiws seemed to suggest it would take a long time. I was kept informed of every action with amazon and verizon. My phones came activated and only had to dial a # to setup my account. I was hesitant becuase I wasn't sure I could get two phones for the amazon price, because again all the reviews said it didn't accept family plans. It does for Verizon at least. I have only had the phones for 5 days, but love them already. My biggest surprise however was not the phone, but again the acceptional service from Amazon! I would and have recommended buying phones from Amazon.
a phone should be a phone. March 23, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
let's start by saying that I don't use Vcast or bluetooth or anything like that--I use my phone for talking and texting and occasionally taking pictures, nothing else. I bought this phone for the QWERTY keyboard and updated camera, and those features are indeed very nice... however, my cell phone is my only phone, and therefore needs to have a high quality of sound. Unfortuntely, I find that the sound is very muffled. I frequently have to ask my friends and family to repeat what they've said, and that is unacceptable to me. I returned this phone after less than two weeks.
I love it so far!!!! March 3, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had this phone for about two weeks and it's just as nice as the reviews say. I had 2 flip phones in a row that I had problems hearing incoming calls on, although callers could hear me. I hated texting with the flips also, so I wanted more of a 1 piece design like my previous phones(that I could hear on!)and loved the keyboard idea. I also wanted to carry pictures and maybe music. This phone does that and so much more!
I haven't had any issues with it being slippery at all, but they did show me a silicone case that I bet would solve the problem. The camera seems great, I like the covered lens, and I don't think the covered door to the car charge port will bother me either. I do wish the time display on the front screen was bigger and I'm hoping when I finish the manual I can adjust it. It's certainly not a deal breaker.
I have people ask what kind of phone it is because of the looks, and the great display on the inside screen. I will update after I get the music and pictures set up, but I may need help with those features!
Overall, I love this phone!
Amazing toy December 20, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
What a fun little gadget.. I spend a lot of time Im'ing so needed to upgrade myself to a easier phone. the keyboard is great, keys have enough space between them so that my mashed one too many thumbs can still hit the right keys when i want to.
The camera, works very well lots of options for quality size and such, also works very well in video camera mode ( you get a 30 second clip with sound).
The pictures do not do justice to the phone the color is closer to an olive drab metallic.. very attractive and suitind for a phone named envy
A couple small things i do not like though the cover for the charging. port.. I know i am going to find some way to break it off, its a little pop out swing panel. Also I am having some problems keeping the rotating shutter door of the camera closed ans as stated previously it does want to slide out of my hands also.
Overall though I am very impressed with this phone If the Iphone is out of your price range I would definatly give this one a good look.
There is a great review under the silver env My 2 cents here December 19, 2007 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I LOVE IT. Only things I don't like: It's hard to hold onto. It wants to slip out of my hand. Would love some little rubber strips or some ridged grips. Works great with my Jabra bluetooth earpiece though so I don't have to hold it. Can't read the front numbers in basic light. They are beautifully back lit so when the phone is on in the dark it's easy, but in just normal light the white doesn't contrast with the green enough.
Love the removable storage. No more paying Verizon, just to get my photos off my phone. Adding my own music, photos has never been easier. The tiny SD cards are amazing. This phone can handle the 4 GB SD cards now. 4 GB in the size of your pinky fingernail!
I love having a full keyboard for texting. But now spelling errors are all mine - I can't blame T9 anymore. Stereo speakers was a plus. They aren't a stereo replacement but to share a quick song or listen at a desk, they are great.
The camera is really like a camera. It looks and acts like a camera when you use it.
