5 out of 5 stars No complains   July 7, 2008

I had my eyes on this one ever since it came out! And I must say, now that I own it for myself, I still love it just the same! The colour is even better up close than it appears on websites, and the super-slim shape is just amazing! It takes great pictures and videos too, better than pictures (and videos) I've seen taken with many other cell phones. I love the keypad too, and you can connect it to your computer to upload pictures/wallpapers without any trouble at all. Simply put I love everything about my phone and I couldn't be happier to have purchased it! :)

Of course this isn't for you if you're looking for the iPhone! I will recommend buying this one only to those who loved the old RAZR but would love even more a greatly upgraded, slimmer, shinier and uniquely coloured version!

5 out of 5 stars Do not trust the amazon rebate .. you are warned   June 20, 2008

Time for another amazon fraud rebate scheme. I bought AT&T phone from amazon believing i will get the $150 rebate for first generation razor. Had all the documentation but still amazon refused to honor and kept me going in circles and gazillion threads of emails. Never have seen the check, $150 went the drain. Haven't bought anything from amazon that involved rebate since then.

your call.. just want to warn

1 out of 5 stars Don't throw your money away   June 11, 2008

If you have money to throw away start throwing it away if you buy this phone. I would not even get this phone if it was free. If you don't get a total package with your provider don't expect to use all the features on this phone. If you do buy this phone because it is the last one on this earth make sure you save everything you have on it to the SIM card because you lose everything you have on it if you save your information to just the phone. Read up on this phone and make sure you get the warrantee on it or any other damage coverage you can get. You will be throwing this phone after a month if that. Make sure you buy an extra battery back up because you have to charge it every other day. Good luck if you buy it. Your better off taking the money and donating it to a charity or taking someone out to lunch. You will get better satisfaction from that.

2 out of 5 stars Beautiful phone with lots of plusses.. but constant problems!   June 3, 2008

I went through 3 of these phones in 2.5 months. Before I go into detail, I will say that the phone/s never got wet, were never dropped - they were well taken care of.

First phone developed an issue 5 weeks after purchase. The speakerphone element went out. Once I turned the speakerphone on, I could no longer hear them.

ATT did a warranty exchange

Version 2 of the phone entailed it not charging. It was not the charger. Nor was it the battery. It was the charging port. This was 'discovered' within 3 days of getting the replacement V9.

Version 3 of the phone was the most confusing. The phone was not on mute and volume was all the way up. Upon opening the phone to make a call, the keypad would no longer make noise. It would dial, but no sound came through the earphone and nor could I hear anyone talking. The only way to 'correct' it was to turn the phone off and turn it back on. This issue appeared within 2-3 weeks of receiving it.

I'm not going for a 4th V9. It was a nice phone. Great features and I liked the weight of it in my hand - but somehow Quality Control really messed up the lot that ATT got that I had received. And if you read the reviews on ATT's website, there are several people that are reporting the exact same issues.

The majority of people seem to get phones without issues - but I managed to get 3 duds (out of 3). That doesn't make for me giving it high marks in a review.
