good for now ... could be better December 1, 2007 I got this phone after having a little better version samsung. It has a nice button to open the phone- I call it my lazy button. Not a lot of memory available. Have enjoyed other phones better. camera is okay- has different features and photo editing or add ons to the photos, but I wouldn't use it for more than on the phone, has long recoding time and good sound but not a lot of memory. Bluetooth on the phone- a plus.
DO NOT BUY!!!!! November 25, 2007 When my boyfriend lost his phone, T-mobile convinced me to "upgrade" and get the buy one get one free promotion on this phone. It was a waste of time. This phone has neat features but it has the worst reception and sound quality I have experienced in a cell phone. All of the calls sound metallic, have allot of static, and the volume goes in and out. At first I thought it was just my phone, but I asked my boyfriend about it and he said he had the same problems. We have only had the phones for 4 days and we are going to return them. Im thinking about going back to my old Pebl phone even though it doesn't have favorite fives.
Great phone, good mp3 player, so-so camera November 13, 2007 I have been with T-mobile for 5 years, and this is my 3rd phone. Phone quality is great, and people have told me how much better my calls sound. I continue to have reception issues in the same deadzones that I previously had, but I have had no new issues with signal strength.
Reminder: this is a PHONE...not a digital camera, not a video recorder, and not an ipod. Having these additional features is nice, but you are buying a PHONE.
mp3 player & AM/FM radio. Performs pretty well, although the audio when played through the speaker is not the best. Playing mp3s in the gym with the headset on works great. The mp3 player has shuffle capability. When listening to a song and an incoming call comes in, the mp3 player & AM/FM immediately stops, and then picks back up when the call ends. You need to invest another $40 to buy a micro SD card (for the phone) and SD adapter to download songs for playing on the phone.
Digital camera/video camera. Performs poorly unless in bright lighting conditions. When in shadows or dark areas, the image is very fuzzy and poor quality. Zoom works OK, but pixelizes the image slightly.
Battery life. I can talk for about 200 minutes, then go to the gym for 45 minutes and listen to mp3s, and I still have about 50% battery remaining. I make it a practice to charge the battery every night, so I do not how much longer it would last.
Loved it until it fell apart November 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this phone a little over a year ago and really enjoyed its compact, sensible design. It feels nice to hold and use as well. After about nine months, the flip pins started to loosen and one fell out fairly soon afterwards. I tried to deal with T-Mobile and then Nokia and got no real assistance. Recently, the top of the phone has gotten shaky and the screen felt loose. In the past week, it's given me a "SIM card failure" message which disappears after restarting. Today, it's in a coma. The small screen comes on, but not the main- so no texting, calendar, or other text. It also stopped dialing. I'm very disappointed in this phone.
VERY NICE PHONE October 22, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A PHONE YOU HAVE TO BE CONSCIOUS OF WHAT YOU REALLY WILL NEED FROM A PHONE. THERE ARE A LOT OF GIMMICKS THE PHONE COMPANIES WILL USE WHICH WILL CONFUSE YOU, AND MAKE BUYING A PHONE VERY COMPLICATED. BUT IT IS NOT COMPLICATED!!!! THE NOKIA 6133 IS A PERFECT PHONE BECAUSE IT DOES EVERYTHING YOU NEED A PHONE TO DO IF YOU ARE JUST LOOKING FOR AN EFFECTIVE PHONE WITH A FEW PERKS. IT HAS AN AUDIO PLAYER WHICH WORKS WELL, AND THE CAMERA TAKES BETTER-THAN-PHONE-QUALITY PICTURES. THE OTHER OPTIONS ON THE PHONE A VERY GENERAL BUT THE NOKIA 6133 REALLY ALLOWS YOU TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR PHONE TO BE VERY COMFORTABLE AND FAST. THE DESIGN IS UNREAL! VERY MINIMALIST AND STRONG. THERE IS A BUTTON TO OPEN THE PHONE QUICKER AND IT IS SLIM, YET HAS SOME WEIGHT TO IT WHICH MAKES IT COMFORTABLE IN THE HAND OR IN THE POCKET. THE ONLY THING THAT REALLY SUCKS ABOUT THE PHONE IS THAT IT'S BATTERY LIFE IS WEAK. IT HAS BEEN THE WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER OWNED IN THIS DETAIL, BUT TRUST ME, IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. JUST HAVE TO CHARGE IT EVERY 3 DAYS. FAIR ENOUGH. AND YOU CAN GET REALLY CHEAP ENHANCEMENTS TO THE PHONE LIKE THE BLUETOOTH EAR PIECE, AND A CAR CHARGER FOR EXAMPLE. ASIDE FROM THAT, THIS IS A TMOBILE PHONE, AND I MUST SAY, AFTER BEING WITH SPRINT AND CINGULAR/ATT IN THE PAST, THAT TMOBILE IS UP TO PAR WITH RECEPTION, AND WAY WAY WAY BETTER IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AS PRICE RATIO. MYFAVS IS A GREAT IDEA FOR PEOPLE WITH A FEW FRIENDS WHICH THEY CALL FREQUENTLY.
