3 out of 5 stars Review   August 12, 2008
Takes a while to connect - sometimes have to try and connect multiple times. Have had less than a month and antenna already won't go back in to turn off system - not contructed very well. As far as being hands free, just about as good as any out there.

4 out of 5 stars BlueAnt is great! Worth the money   August 2, 2008
I have three other earpiece Bluetooths, and BlueAnt is by far the best, with the best sound quality for incoming and outgoing calls. My family and friends always told me my ear Bluetooths made me sound like I was underwater, but BlueAnt is clear.

I have glanced at other reviews, and share a couple 'concerns'. First, unlike devices connecting to my ear, I frequently forget to turn off the BlueAnt, because I'm not wearing it, so I have to make a concerted effort to turn it off when leaving my car. Luckily, it holds a charge for a long time. Secondly, you need to use two hands when depressing the mic to turn it on or off, otherwise you push it off the visor. Third, and it is distracting at night, is the flashing blue light in your face while you're driving.

Having noted the above, I think overall it's a great simple device, that I hope will last for a while. My 'other' devices use to "disconnect" frequently, but not so with BlueAnt. I've rarely had a disconnect.

I've recommended this product to others, since California just initiated there "hands-free" law July 1, 2008.

5 out of 5 stars BlueAnt - Drive Safely!   August 1, 2008
When I got my BlueAnt, my friend had gotten the black, and I thought "How awesome!" I hated having the bluetooth earpiece, it just bothered my ear! This is almost like having OnStar right in your car! It's portable and small enough to fit in your purse or glove box.
The thing I like is that I am not distracted while I am driving. I see people with the phone glued to their ear and they arent paying ANY ATTENTION to what they are doing and I am sure they are more likely to get into an accident because they are holding the phone to their ear.
I love mine. It clear and like any wireless device you are going to have dead spots and interferance. I give it a thumbs up and 5 stars!!

2 out of 5 stars poor connection and poor pairing   July 28, 2008

I had heard of this product from the tech guy Leo La Porte. I thought, great sounds like what I wanted and he raved about it. I have a Palm 700W Treo.

I find that it pairs up poorly. I have to get in the car, call my land line, often twice to get it to pair up.Just pushing the boom to have it extend does not activate pairing, at least nto for me. It works ok, but not great. I find sometimes I have a hard time quickly seeing which button is for up volume. It would be nice if it were marked in colored + and - . I find at times the volume does not seem that good- customers tell me.

When you go out of the car or take a call away and them come back, it does not pair. So I have to remember to call myself to get it to pair. As California is a hands free state this is a pain when you get a call and realize it has not paired.

I have a convertible and of course it does not work with the top down, but with the top up is ok.It does have a reversible viser clip, which is magnetic, which is a nice feature.

I would not buy this product again. It has good standby time, but the headaches of "is it going to pair or not"is a headache and I carry a plug in headset because of these problems.

4 out of 5 stars Love it!   July 20, 2008

My Blue Ant Supertooth speakerphone works nearly perfectly. No glitches and it is crystal clear. Occasionally the volume is too low at the beginning of a call when I first turn it on. This may have more to do with my phone than the Supertooth, because it adjusts itself quickly. My only complaint is that it flies off the magnets easily if you aren't careful when you close the microphone. This takes a bit of experience to do consistently. Now that I know how to close the mic slowly and carefully, I haven't had any probems. I think this is the best speakerphone available.
