Best phone I've ever owned June 7, 2008 I actually bought the orange version of this phone directly from Verizon. I've read that it has additional features not included in the other colors. The keypad is easy to use and has the ability to synch with my personal email account. Unlike most camera phones I've owned, this one works well and has a lens cover which helps protect the lens from getting dirty and scratched. No probelems with dropped calls or text/video messaging.
what a joke May 19, 2008 For one I would like to add that verizon wireless is one of the worst companies for customer services. When I got this phone it was cracked in the screen. I would not recommend anyone to buy this phone at all or anything from LG. every LG phone I got stopped working within a year.
Do not waste your time and money on LG phones May 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got a brand new LG phone at the last August month end, after 4 months usage, half of the color LCD screen disappeared. The phone was never damaged, never dropped to floor, still looked like brand new. Sent it to LG for warantee repair, LG claimed the phone has internal damages (internal cable broken) and asked $75 for repairing. I argued I used the phone in careful way, no any damages happened to the phone, LG said "maybe you used your finger to touch the LCD screen, although no damages to LCD screen, you damaged internal cable"? Ahh? What a f**k.
LOVE THIS PHONE! Fun & Functional April 14, 2008 Got this phone about a week ago, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a blend of high functionality, fun features & sleek style. I've been testing its features since I got it and learn something new every day. The ability to get my Yahoo e-mail is mandatory for me, but now I can use VCast features like VZNavigator. I also love the ability to easily add fun ringtones for a change (I just traded a Verizon/Audiovox XV6700).
Also, contrary to some of the reviews here, I have been impressed with the battery life, I've been playing with/using the various functions of this phone several (at least 2) hours a day since I first charged it up, and it went 3 days before it needed to be charged. (It probably could have gone longer, but since it's my only phone, I hate to have it die.)
Though I can't say I know *everything* about it at this point, I'm very happy I decided to trade in my own phone a few months early. Oh, BTW, I should mention that the color of this phone is sort of a metallic olive.
Once you get this phone, others will be Green with enV April 3, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
2 years ago I purchase the LG V phone and, while it was bulky, I found it to be an indispensable gadget for me everywhere I went. I knew then that I would never go back to a regular cell phone that lacked a full keyboard.
Now, 2 years later, I have upgraded to the LG EnV (Green) Cell Phone. It's a slimmer, sleeker version of the V and it is equally as indispensable. As I like to text message a lot, the full QWERTY keyboard is an invaluable function that makes keeping in contact with people so much easier.
The voice quality on this phone is one of the finest I have had (just like with the V). The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless.
The photo and video functions are solid, but nothing special. They are a slight step up from the V, but you have to remember that this is just a phone with a camera in it. It's for the periodic random photos and videos, but nothing more.
I can't comment on the VCast feature because I choose not to use it. If I wanted to spend the extra amount per month, I could say more, but I don't want to.
The Get it Now features are very good. I enjoy the games that can be downloaded, like Scrabble, Boggle, or Monopoly. The quality of those games for the system they are ported for is quite high. The ring tones you can download have also improved dramatically. You are no longer stuck with midi ring tones. You can get the wave file of an actual portion of a song to use as a ring tone and the preview function lets you find out if this is the tone you want before you buy.
There are a few drawbacks, of course, and they are the same that plagued the V. The Notepad feature does not provide any way of moving that data off the phone. In addition, you are not permitted to use uploaded songs or user-created sound clips as a ring tone.
All in all, the complaints are minor. The phone is great.
