Verizon wireless finally got one...
works great for wifi. just had to connect first time to enter user id and password for my university wifi..after that it auto connect. PEOPLE THAT ARE HAVING TROUBLE W/ WIFI PROBABLY DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THE DEVICE...
phone has great reception even at lower signal strength.
speaker phone is not the loudest but not bad at all.
Blue tooth works great with any device.
screen is bright and clear..visible in sunlight.
really fast device. Battery life is great for medium use...about 4 days.
Factory headphone take adapter....but i use motorola KRZR head phones b/c you dont need adapter for that. they are mini usb( cost about $10)
Really happy with windows mobile 6..
DEVICE IS ALL ABOUT BUTTONS..MAKES IT REALLY EASY TO USE WINDOWS MOBILE
GREAT DEVICE...HIGHLY RECOMENDED FOR POWER USERS...

First of all, I love this phone. The actual "phone" features are average, but the interface, slide-out keyboard, and wifi capabilities more than make up for that.
When I was buying this phone there was some confusion in the Verizon store as to whether or not I had to buy a data plan for it to work. In case anyone else faces the same problem, here is what I found:
In order to get this phone I had to purchase an add-on data plan but was able to cancel it after the first month. My school is completely wireless so I just use the phone's wifi capabilities. Its incredibly easy to use; this phone finds new networks/switches between them faster then my laptop. Wifi is turned on with a slide button on the side of the phone, and then the device immediately searches for wifi connections. If there are multiple it lets you pick. Its that easy! It truly is the best of both worlds - I have access to the internet and email from my phone without having to pay the crazy monthly fees for a data plan.

This phone had some great potential, but for me is a glaring failure. My biggest issue is that it is simply too slow. There is always a delay everytime you try to run any program. Especially the phone. Further, the voice quality is not great. It is a fine PDA device with a very large, bright screen, but thats about it. I am returning it today.

I read the reviews and decided to buy one in spite of the negative comments. This is one cool little toy and has met every expectaiton I had. My biggest concern was telephone reception - would I get a signal in areas with less than adequate coverage; I have had only tri-mode Motorolas in the past becuase I know they have great telephone reception capability. So far, so good. there are a couple places I go that I know have minimal reception, as proven by other's LG phones. The VX6800 did just fine. It's a very well put together unit; I'm using it for MS Exchange synch at work, phone, and wiFi connectivity; performs quite well, easy to understand user interface. Best gadget investment I've made.
Great Replacement for my Sidekick February 6, 2008

I needed to move from T-Mobile over to Verizon, which was a painful thing for me as I've owned a Sidekick since the first color ones came out. I was up to a Sidekick 3, and did not even give that up when my husband offered an iPhone because I didn't want a virtual keyboard. I use my phone as an email device and a web browser first, a phone second.
Being able to browse the web without going through Danger's servers first, and seeing an IE view of the internet is a wonderful thing. I can't tell you enough how happy it makes me to be able to just go directly to a website. I can see things on sites that used to be filtered.
I am still getting used to the keypad, but it's not as bad as some of the other Verizon phones (the LG ENV for one). I'm not sure I follow the complaints in some of the other reviews about the touch keypad. The punctuation is clearly available without having to go into the numbers. Now on the real keyboard, that's an issue, but I'm getting used to it.
I have also had no problems making calls, but remember, I'm comparing this to a Sidekick, and that was a crappy phone. I think you do lose something when you have a PDA phone, and that's when bluetooth headsets shine. If you talk on the phone a lot, I would suggest you get a dedicated clamshell phone as I have yet to fine ANY PDA phone that Excels (and that includes Treo, Blackberry and iPhone).
