 Bad phone - Good features (except PTT) July 15, 2007

I got this phone about a year ago. Not many reviews at that time - but most were good. I got it because it had many of the features that I wanted (camera, quad band, calendar, internet capability). The phone features work well (calendar, alarms, address book, games) thus the 2 stars. The reception has been lousey most of the time. I almost always have difficulty hearing people when they call. If cingular/att has 'the fewest dropped calls' - I hate to think about how many dropped calls with other companies & phones. The phone started freezing up a lot over the last 3-6 monthes. I can barely get service at my home and I am assured that there are two towers nearby. (I never had these problems with US Cellular) I was getting signal at work - but now my phone shows 5 bars and I am only getting every other word (and vice versa). The bars seem to fluctuate rapidly even when standing or sitting still. I just got a new 'sim' card - but that does not seem to make a difference. Same problem with the PTT button that others have. Very dissapointed with Sony and with ATT/Cingular. Maybe all of us with bad phones need to get together!

I picked this phone based on it's sized. I was happy with it for the first month or so but then it started to turn itself off for no reason. I am now on my second phone and it's starting to do the same thing. Unfortunely I'm stuck with this for another year before I can upgrade to a different brand. Very happy with Cingular service just not the phone.

I am extremely happy with this phone and I would highly recommend it. I have not had any of the problems that have been listed by other reviewers. I love all the features, especially the different light display rings available. The only complaint I have is the PTT button is in a terrible place, but, once you get used to it, you don't hit it quite as often.

I have had this phone for approximately 7 months. My best friend bought the same phone at about the same time. This is the WORST phone I have ever owned. She would attest the same. Although there are some extra features of the phone, the main feature that I use, the PHONE is aweful. I can't carry on a conversation for more than 10-15 minutes or the phone dies. My friend's phone does the same thing. It takes several minutes for it to return to a functioning capacity after it dies. I just received a text message and the thing finally died. It won't charge, there is no activity at all.
Frankly, I am shocked that it lasted as long as it has. I am very disappointed in the phone. I thought the fact that it was a "Sony Ericcson" would assure me a quality product. I was wrong. I am disgusted that I paid as much as I did for this phone and have been stuck with it's poor performance for this much time. I will NEVER buy another phone from this company again.

I bought this sony ericsson phone in July, it is simply amazing. It has everything you need, camera, not the best but very good, text messaging, multimedia messaging, it also has awesome light effects. The color-screen is great too. The menu is also very good. i love the games, and different options. The address book is cool, there is picture id, and personal ringtones. I really adore the music player, speakerphone, and the sound recording. If you want a great phone that is sleek, and sophisticated buy this!
I really enjoy it! I bet you will too! BUY THIS IT IS THE BEST PHONE
