4 out of 5 stars Why the LG enV could have 1 more star   March 10, 2008

Overall, i fell in love with this phone...it has so many incredible features especially for the price. I was looking for a digital camera, an MP3 player, and a really good phone. Well buying this sort of killed three birds with one stone. I was very surprised to learn you can record a 1 hour video on the phone with sound! however, it can only be recorded to store on your phone...you cannot send it.

I haven't downloaded music yet for the MP3 player, but I'm sure from what i heard it will be no different from the original thing itself. Int terms of listening to the music or video through the speakers, they're not the best of quality. If you record something kind of loud, it won't really sound like the thing you are recording....only kind of a loud blare...you can still faintly hear it though.

The pictures are very clear (especially when outdoors). there are so many light features and shades and tones for the camera, it really is quite a deal. Indoors, however, the pictures can get a little grainy, but very seldom. it really depends on the lighting of the room. The films you can record do turn out a little grainy in comparison to the photos, and you can't move it fast at all or you'll just get a colored blur.

Another thing that i could have changed if i was to be very picky, is the placement of the camera on the back of the phone. Granted it looks very cool, most people i show it to think its just a camera when closed. However, when you are holding the phone and texting, your fingers are right on top of the closed lens, which slowly shifts...it can get annoying how it slightly moves on your fingers when trying to hold the phone firm to text.

on than these downsides, it a great, great Phone/Camera/MP3 player!

4 out of 5 stars Great phone, good features, perfect for texting   February 5, 2008

This is a great phone. After many years of having a flip phone, I decided to upgraded to a more full featured phone, and this one fits the bill.

The EnV from Verizon wireless offers a great mix of features and looks that is second to none. The phone looks like a typical "candy bar" style phone with a small (very small actually) though clear front screen, navigation, send and end button (end button acts as power button too) and number buttons. Good for making calling.

It is when the phone opens on the bias that the true genius of EnV appears. Inside is a full Qwerty keyboard, navigation, and shortcut buttons, and a gorgeous clear color screen.

Navigation is easy, with intuitive interface and easily personalized shortcut buttons to suit your own needs.

The phone has a 2.0 megapixel camera that takes great photos and videos. A nice touch is a lens cover that protects the lens from unwanted scratches and dust.

The phone has a SC card slot. A 1 Gig card will allow you to hold hundreds of songs if you purchase the Verizon Music pack that includes software, USB cable and headphone that double as corded headset.

It is a great phone. I didn't give it 5 stars because of lack of Macintosh support, and because of Verizon's insistence on turning off many of the great bluetooth features such as file exchange.

Overall this is a great phone. It has all the powerful features you come to expect from a phone, at a great price, and with great curb appeal.

So far its really nice! Only thing I've found that sux is that the chargers car/home have a silver shield that plug into the bottom of the phone and already had 1 car charger shield stick in the phone when I pulled it out. Seems like they could have made them a little more quality. That and You shouldn't be able to send blank text messages. Otherwise no complaints in the month or so Ive had it.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE!   November 29, 2007

I was use to having a flip phone- and wasnt to sure about getting this phone, but I am very glad I did. Its a great phone, epecially if you do a lot of texting. I like that you can text from the front or flip it open to text inside- where you can type very quick.
I'm not to fond of it only holding a certain amount of texts in the inbox- and you have to delete them, it doesnt do it manually. But that can be done realy quick by just hitting the delete inbox.
Everyone that I know that has this phone does have a little problem with the sound. Every now and then the phone wont ring - and the volume will be on loud. Or it wont make a noise when you recieve a text. All you have to do is turn it off then back on. It doesnt bother me enough to want to change phones by any means.
Definently a great phone.

I really love this phone to text with. The pics come out grea. I am disappointed in the storage though and the batery capacity. It only stores about 40 texts and I have to charge it every day.
