Nice looking, works well July 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a thin very nice looking phone, almost like a razor phone.Double minutes for life is a major plus. Setting it up with Tracfone was easy,I even got my old cell phone #. Make sure you contact Tracfone first if you want to shift your number. You can do it by phone or on the Net. Another good feature is the speaker phone, which I use regularly. You can shop around for min.I got 800 plus 300 bonus min for $100,thats with the one year deal.So far I am very satisfied with Tracfone and the W370 phone. A freind of mine has been with Tracfone for years, and he also is satisfied with there service and plan.He travels quite a bit on the east coast, and hasn't had any problems with there coverage.
DO NOT BUY A TRACFONE !!!! June 14, 2008 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
Can't review the phone because after one week of dealing with tracfone service reps phone still does not have a functioning phone number.God help you if you need to use their 800 number, you better be able to speak spanish because not many of their employees have a working knowledge of English.Have spoken with at least 10 different people at tracfone and have replaced sim card 4 times and phone is still unusable.STAY AWAY,VERY FAR AWAY !!
Only good to be used at home and they are STEALING YOUR IDENTITY June 12, 2008 2 out of 12 found this review helpful
The connection is good only at home. 20 miles away from home, you get connection only by LUCK. Do NOT depend on it.
To add airtime from Tracfone is extremely painful:
If add it from their website (most of time it ends up ERROR and ask you to call the service representative), the webpage asks a lot of unnecessary information, then sends hundreds digits you have to key in to your cell phone.
If add it thru calling their service representative, the representative will try to STEAL YOUR IDENTITY by ask you all unrelated information. Besides credit card and your cell phone ID, they ask: * Name * Address * Other cell phone numbers * Social Security Number!!!!!!!!!!!!! * Birthday?????????????????
If you refuse to answer the question, they will argue that 'Our System Requires It'. Who cares about their system? I do care about my own IDENTITY SAFETY.
However, if you still want to jump into the trap, there is a way to beat their stealing: ***** Besides credit number and you cell phone ID, give them all FAKE information. ****
I tried the strategy, and it works
Great Pre-paid Cell Phone May 26, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I love this Tracfone. I just wanted a phone in case of emergenices, and this fits the bill. I did't need all the frills of the expensive phones (texting, camera, web access) and didn't want to pay over $40 per month for a phone like most people do, so this phone was perfect. I got the double minutes for life card and that is definately worth it. So it only costs 10 cents per minute. I don't have a problem adding time to it, I can buy time over the internet easily. The reception is pretty good, sometimes I get some static, but mostly not. I love the sleek look of this phone - it doesn't look like a "pre-paid" phone. The only thing I wish it had was a display on the outside - you have to open it up to see who's calling. But otherwise, great phone for a great price.
W370 from Tracfone May 26, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The phone is nice, but the USB data connectivity port is disabled. The double minutes for life is a very nice feature.
