This cable is definitely a good and cheap alternative to anything you will find in the stores. I'm not quite sure how drastic of an improvement it is over the AV cables, but honestly, who cares for this price.
 Good Component Cable June 18, 2008
This is a component cable for the Nintendo Wii system. It allows the user to unlock the 480p mode for higher image quality, which is not available with the regular Nintendo AV cable. If you are using a large HDTV (as I am) you will see a clear difference in picture quality going from Composite to Component cables, since 480p displays much more image data per second than 480i.
Taking the Wii game "Zelda-Twilight Princess" as an example: Your picture will be sharper, less "washed out", the lines will be clearly defined, and your colors will probably be perfect even without the calibration sequence. The improvement in resolution will make some of the in-game tasks (archery etc) a lot simpler.
This particular cable seems to be cheaper than others, while still being of high-quality, which makes it more attractive.
To summarize: this cable does exactly what it is supposed to do, and it cost me very little.

The cables are in very good quality. I noticed a little improvement from 480i to 480p. The price is extremely good. I am glad I didn't get the Nintendo one from the store.
The Cables Work Perfectly June 9, 2008
These cables worked perfectly. Some of the negative commentors say that you see no difference when using these cables on their HD sets. I can say I just installed these and there is incredible differences. There are no jagged lines and the picture is much more crisp. If someone installed these and said they didn't do anything for their HDTV then they either A) didnt set the wii to output to 480p or B) can't spot noticable difference in picture quality. These cables will not disappoint.
