My laptop still heats up a lot; the pad didn't seem to work that much... It's ridiculous how much my laptop heats up in the first place, but a slight disappointment that it doesn't work like other people said it does.

I had ordered and returned a laptop cooler with fans. The problem.. my laptop draws in from the bottom, which conflicts with the fans on the cooler I ordered.
I couldn't find another laptop cooler that specified it pushed the air up, instead of drawing it down.
I decided to try this pad instead. At least I could get some decent clearance without being too high.
Having used it for a month now, I am very pleased. The "X" pattern of the supports allows even my 17" laptop to fit nicely. My fans now have ample room to draw air and the system stays noticeably cooler. When sitting with the computer on my lap, I don't have to watch the fan intakes any more and the system and my lap stay cool. Its strong and light, so no issues with either. Lastly, even though it provides much needed clearance, it doesn't raise the laptop too high (which would make typing harder). Its a very nice height.
I love this laptop pad and will happily order another if I need one in the future.

This is the second XPad we buy. We already had one for my laptop, but my husband needed another. Flat laptops adhere better to its surface, but the XPad also works great with curved laptops after some use. You just have to be a bit patient in that case.

I was using a t.v. tray for my laptop so I was very happy to get this!! I bought one for my son and myself and love it!! The laptop does not slide and stays much cooler!!!

the xpad does make some differance to the heat of my laptop, the fan still kicks in but the air channels underneath allow the laptop fan to do its job
the xpad stays cool enough to have it on you lap , maybe a touch warm after several hours
