 Very good bags May 21, 2008
These bags are great for groceries. Even though they are smaller than standard paper grocery bags, they hold much more. They are very strong. We also use them for carrying sports equipment to the car, kids' toys on cartrips, etc. Very useful bags, especially for the price. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that mine already have a small amount of wear after about a month (we do use them frequently).

I can't tell you how much I love these bags!!! I bought them a couple months ago, and love them so much I've purchased some for my family and friends to use. I was getting so sick of the small thin bags from the grocery; I tried my best to make use of them in different ways (lunch, trash), but always ended up having to throw a bunch away because you get so many just from one trip to the grocery.
These hold so much more (3-4 of the small bags worth), hold their shape unlike the canvas bags (contents don't end up rolling around your trunk), and are much easier to haul up to my 2nd story apartment. They also have some with compartments in which to pack 2-liter bottle of soda so they stand up. I just keep a few in my trunk and pull them out as I need them, no matter how big or small the trip.
Some people are writing that they're no better than the other platic bags because they too are made of plastic, but you reuse them so many times that they make much more ecological sense. Plus, they have many other uses and can act as general tote bags. You can also throw them in the gentle cycle of the washing machine.
A very very good purchase!!! :-)

I'm not buying these, and neither should you, Non-Wove Polypropylene is not recyclable. Go with canvas, bamboo, burlap, cotton, or some other, make sure the material is recyclable or recycled.

I love these bags. I cannot believe how much they hold. Instead of making multiple trips to the car to unload groceries, I can carry everything in one trip. They are so big, I only need three so I gave my daughter-in-law the other two.
The free gifts were a nice touch.

These bags are excellent. Well worth the money. Not only are they bood for groceries but I have already used them for other things. Very good product.
