5 out of 5 stars great product   September 7, 2008

I love it.

Buy Jabra 820 noise canceling over-the-ear headphones and you will be amazed at the rich and detailed sound it produces. Using this combination, I heard things in my favorite music that I never noticed on my rack stereo system. So I started using them in baggage claim, in the office, walking to work, doing mathematics, and then at home....

So bought the Altec Lansing inMotion speakers from the same source. I strongly recommend the speakers, which have a rich sound and surprisingly deep bass (listening right now). I like them so much I bought a second set for my office at work.

Like everyone else on this site, I like the fact that I can drag and drop MP3 files on Windows. I don't need or want special, clunky iSoftware to do that for me.

Also, I think the unit is beautifully designed. I have carried Sansa products around the world a few times with no protective covers at all and they still look like new. Apparently that is not true for the iCompetition.

I have no interest to watch movies on it, so I can't speak to that.

I paid $90 for it through Amazon-Electronics Expo. That's an amazing deal---I almost paid $150 at Office Depot.

5 out of 5 stars sexy sansa   August 31, 2008
I read some reviews of refurb sandisks a couple days after i got mine and became a bit worried...but...my mp3 player is attached to my ear or car at almost all times. It is playing an average of like 17 hours a day. As i type this, my sansa is rockin' away. It has briefly frozen up twice, but was no problem. I pushed the power button and it turned off and came right back on with no problem. I love my refurb and would recommend this product to any and everyone. rockin on random all day long. thank u guys so much...

5 out of 5 stars affordable and easy to use   August 23, 2008
Like stated above. mp3 was easy to set up, and even came fully charged.simple drag and drop of audio files. I am by no means an expert at adding pics or videos so I don't even try. For what I need it for(exercise and drowning out coworkers)it works great for me.

1 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware...   August 20, 2008

This is a review I wrote of the Sansa e260R player. Before you buy one, Google "sansa error" and see for yourself.

This worked great at first. But after about six months, the hard drive had serious errors. I contacted Sandisk, who repeatedly tried to get it running again, but it was frozen and totally unusable. Since the warranty wasn't up, they sent a replacement.

A week after the warranty expired on the second Sansa, it did the same thing. I spent a week trying every fix I could find online. Nothing worked. It's dead! A little research (Google "Sansa" "refresh database" and "error") showed that Sansa MP3 players have a terrible reputation for freezing permanently, so beware!

My brother received a Sansa for Christmas, and it died within 24 hours of him ripping off the wrapping paper.

According to reviews, and asking sales reps which players get returned the most (the Sansas, they said), I recommend a Sony Walkman MP3 player instead. Some are compatible with Rhapsody, work with audiobooks, and have a terrific sound and beautiful display for a fraction of the price of a Sansa (just buy it at Walmart... it is $30-40 cheaper than Amazon.) The quality of my Sony is way, way better.

4 out of 5 stars Great gadget.   August 16, 2008
I've had the Sandisk Sansa e280 for well over a year now. I love it. It holds so much. Easy to use. Very durable. I have no real problems with it. It has dropped in price since I bought mine, but it is still a great value. That said, the volume wheel does get a little stuck. I try to up the volume and it goes down instead. Same when I try to down the volume it sometimes goes up. But I use it every day. It does not do this all the time. But overall I am very happy with it.
