Simple and solid August 7, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this to hold my HD1000U and it is working great. The directions are worthless. Putting it together based on the picture on the box was about as good. But it was so simple you really don't need the directions. It was as easy as finding a stub, drilling 3 holes and screw it in. Then mount the projector to the other end and attach the two sides. It will bend any direction you want and the extention bar is only needed if you want the 12 inch drop. I thought I would need it, but was able to install it without it. It looks nice and works great.
Vantage Point projector mount July 23, 2007 The vantage point 12 inch universal projector mount is an excellent purchase. Beside its ability to pivot, it has multiple hinge joints that allows you to fine tune the projectors hight and position. These joints feature tightening lock screws that help keep the projector in the position you desire. Its constructed out of quality thick steel that removes any concern of breakage or limit of weight. I would recommed this mount for anyone looking to hang their projector from the ceiling with confidence.
Home theater July 13, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this projector mount for a home theater install. It is easy to install and works great. The reason I didnt give it a 5 is because 1 of the screws they provided me with was not threaded, it looked like a flat nail with a philips head and I was unable to find a screw with a similar thread size (metric.) I ended up improvising by getting a bolt that fit into a larger hole and using two nuts to do the fine adjustments.
My projector is an Optoma HD 70.
Easy to install but takes time to adjust. June 7, 2007 The installation is pretty straight forward. However, adjusting it, as one reviewer had mentioned, can be tricky. When you begin to tighten the allen screws, the arm tends to move in the direction of the turn. Also, tightening one axis sometimes jolts the other axes as well. As a result, I've had to just nudge the arms a little even after they're tightened to get them to position correctly. However, when all said and done, this is an extremely good mount. In fact, is is the only one I've found that was able to move my projector forward in the direction of projection.
Super High Tech Projector Mount March 30, 2007 This is an extremely well made, highly (over?) engineered, wonderfully finished piece. With all the locking set screws you could mount your projector on the hood of your car and be assured it will still be where you put it thousands of miles later. It was a joy for this tech nut to install, and seemed if anything over done for the job at hand. (Preveiously I had used an an old shelving bracket and a piece of wood). Looks very profesional and is fairly inexpensive when you shop around. 5 stars plus.
