No SmartMedia September 30, 2008 The version that I got (GP-4503-CR-S) had no installation disk, no documentation, and does not accept SmartMedia cards unless it needs some sort of unnamed adapter. The labeled lights on the front are for "XD", "SD/MMC", "MS/MSPRO", and "CF/MD" (and a light for "Power"). If your card isn't one of those, you may be out of luck.
Good while lasted July 28, 2008 Product worked for about 3 month, then CF portion stopped working. Quick inspection revealed that CF connector was not soldered to PCB. I guess you get what you pay for.
Great value... June 29, 2008 Very versatile card reader at a great price. Not very fancy and definitely a bit on the cheap side, but what can you expect for the price? Up to now it work as expected...
Horrible quality June 27, 2008 Buyer beware. Very cheaply made, and does not work properly. USB cable does not fit well in slot and must be constantly jiggled or held in. The pins in the slot for the CF/MicroDrive are placed too high, making it impossible to use that drive. xD card does not fit either.
This thing is cheap for a reason. It is very poorly made and I would not buy it.
Great buy for the money February 6, 2008 "The device works great with the cards that I have. I am running XP. I didn't install the included software so possibly that is why I can't determine which of the 4 drive letters my card is 'in' without clicking on each one. Great buy for the money."
