Excellent, durable product June 13, 2008
I got this one for heavy duty stuff, like holding an umbrella in a beach with wind.... haven't bought the cheap ones but this is one of the more durable and sturdy pieces of equipment I have. If you are looking for quality and something that will hold the umbrella without moving or loosening this is it.

Sure you can buy the photoflex unit for half the price and it comes with a cold shoe but don't be swayed. This piece is worth every prenny. It is made 100 times better than the photoflex and has a million little things where intelligent choices were made and as a result it's much more user friendly.
